I am interested in At work; design,usability,open source and Apple. At play; good food,smart literature,arty films,interesting music and art galleries. Books: Harold Bloom's 'The Western Canon' greatly enhanced my appreciation of good writing,not school ;-) ! My favourites are: Cervantes 'Don Quixote',Dante 'The Divine Comedy',Flaubert's 'A Sentimental Education',Balzac's 'Cousin Pons',John Fowles' 'The Magus',John Steinbeck's 'The Grapes of Wrath',Valdimir Nabokov's 'Lolita',Phillip Roth's 'Zuckerman Unbound' and Capote's 'In Cold Blood'. And Umberto Eco's 'Six Walks in the Fictional Woods' for theory!. My Heros are David Lynch,Gustav Klimt,Gerhard Richter,Paul Klee,William Kentridge,Louis Janse van Rensburg,Helmut Starcke,Umberto Eco,Karl Jung,Steve Jobs and Jakob Nielsen. Oh,and how could I forget; Woody Allen,Mark Lottering and Chris Rock!.
