I'm a veteran teacher who loves to learn. I currently run a Reading Writing Center at University High School in Orlando. The center is half classroom demonstration space (embedded professional development with teachers' own students) and half student help center run by and for students.
I am interested in reading, writing, art, technology. Books: I confess,I'm a reader. It's hard to pin a favorite down, but I've always loved A Prayer for Owen Meany by Irving. I read a lot of books for young adults and not just because doing so helps me recommend them to students. To see what I have on my shelves check out my Library Thing: http://www.librarything.com/catalog/spillarke.
