How to extract Installshield cab files? : installshield, extract, cab on 2008-05-19
-
Macindows, Assuming that these cab file are generated by the Installshield, then there must be an MSI accompanying the cab files. Doing an admin install will extract all the files that is contained in the cab files to the location of your choice. Try this from the Start>Run window. Type Msiexec.exe /a ".MSI Filename" /qb TARGETDIR="C:\Temp\AdminInstall" . Once the installer popup dialog box vanishes, check for the files under c:\temp\admininstall folder and it should have the files u were after. This is best way to extract the cab files generated by installshield as a part of the MSI. Hope this helps. Cheers.
