- Literary dialogues, on the other hand, take the form of only two utterances: the inspiring, source text and the inspired, responding text. In that sense, they are more closed and finite, at least on the technical, outer level than their real-life counterparts.

    The principle idea of the essay-literary greatness is identifiable by the number of dialogues a given work inspires. Is there something inherent in the work that inspires, or does this vary?
  - The way for a book to build its reputation as a great book is by inspiring many and diverse types of literary, artistic, and critical dialogues (in the form of local allusions, epigraphs, parodies, translations, adaptations, pictorial representations, scholarly interpretations, and so forth).
  - some of these inspired texts have gained reputation as independent, great artistic achievements in their own right

    or like Hawthorne's "Celestial Railroad?" How is this idea of reputation bounded in time? That is, is a work still great if it inspired numerous dialogues in the 1840s-60s, but few thereafter?
  - These dialogues cease to be secondary, dispensable factors for understanding why a specific work IS great. Instead, they turn out to be the cornerstone for understanding the dynamics by which a work BECOMES great. The dialogic approach emphasizes ongoing processes rather than end-products; a work’s greatness is no longer perceived as a static attribute (a medal given by a ruling hegemony or a by-product of objective aesthetic qualities), but is part of a dynamic relationship between text, readers, authors, artists, and critics.

- Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born 15 April 1990) is a French-born British actress^[1] who rose to prominence playing Hermione Granger, one of three starring roles in the Harry Potter film series. Watson was cast as Hermione at the age of nine, having previously only acted in school plays.^[2] From 2001 to 2007, she starred in five Harry Potter films alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint; she will return for the final three instalments: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, due to be released in July 2009, and the two parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.^[3] Watson's work on the Harry Potter series has earned her several awards and more than £10 million.^[4]
