    • Someone upthread perfectly described Atlantis as "full of promise, but merely adequate execution that is saved by fairly decent actors who really sell their characters."
    • I got the feeling, especially towards the end that it was the 'show runners/writers" that may have had a problem with him.<!--QuoteEnd-->

It was, especially Mallozzi, for a number of reasons. Jflan has said that he felt like he had a responsibility to advocate for the rest of the cast, including going to the showrunner and complaining when they were all unhappy. He was upset with them killing off Carson and Elizabeth, and he didn't hide it. He also pissed Mallozzi off when he asked him, on behalf of the everyone, to stop posting behind the scenes stuff to his blog, because it felt like their down time on set was being taken away.

    • Chloe and Emil run off to Vegas, are married at the Hilton by Captain Kirk, and proceed to raise a gaggle of geeky kids who grow up to form a Glee Club at MIT, coached by Papa Emil, who has a Bachelor's in Music/Opera from McGill. Chloe Hamilton remembers her SV days happily, but is very content making "Sound of Music" costumes and writing best-selling scientific texts about alien encounters gone awry. Her cousin is suing for defamation of character.

    • 6. I agree with [info]mos_self. "Bandflesh" sounds like it's about emo eyeliner-boy cannibalism , so I am totally not surprised it's really about fans eating their young.

But seriously, people. If you post anonymously, you become part of the great schizoid Hydra "Anonymous" whether you like it or not. Your pixels may be special, nice, well-intentioned pixels, but they are mixed in with other mean bullying backstabbing pixels and *cannot* be separated. Unless you use a special snowflake name, you cannot claim to have even *tried* to be a special snowflake.

Perl is the language for people who want to get work done. It started as a tool for UNIX system administrators who needed something powerful for small tasks. Since then, Perl has blossomed into a full-featured programming language used for web programming, database manipulation, XML processing, and system administration--on practically all platforms--while remaining the favorite tool for the small daily tasks it was designed for. You might start using Perl because you need it, but you'll continue to use it because you love it.
