• Man ville inte ha ett akterstag och då sade jag att i så fall måste det vara backstag som avlastar den framåtriktande kraften på masten.

  • Add Language Translation to your Website - Tutorial - Digital Inspiration on 2009-01-11
    • It only translates 750 words by the looks of it, then your customer or user has to click the arrow facing right (should be an icon saying, "end of translation") to trasnlate another 750 characters. If you have lots of characters, like 10,000, then your user has to keep clicking this icon to translate more.

I would put a little icon where we click to trasnlate the page, and add some text explaining to them how to use this arrow, so they know how to translate the rest and not think something is wrong and leave.

    • You sell a hundred boats by creating a scenario where that specific boat becomes the right choice. Once you've created that scenario and proved it by selling the initial 10-20 boats the rest is much much easier.
    • I however think the best lesson to be learned (again) is that you don't sell a hundreds boats by selling them one by one. You sell a hundred boats by creating a scenario where that specific boat becomes the right choice. Once you've created that scenario and proved it by selling the initial 10-20 boats the rest is much much easier.

  • Cool weather sailing gear - The WoodenBoat Forum on 2008-11-01
    • An 80 year old fisherman told me to get myself some polypropylene underwear(like cross country skiers use)and wear wool over it and use any cheap GoreTex to cover it from the wind and spray. By gosh he was exactly right!

Polypro "wicks" the sweat away from your skin keeping you dry, and, as searcher said,100% wool will keep you warm wet or dry and you can wring it out if need be.
  • Velocitek vs. Rockbox vs. Nauteek - Sailing Anarchy Forums on 2008-10-14
    • I was close to going with Velocitec but went with Nauteek...primarily because of the waypoint/routing capability. This means I no longer have to carry an old Garmin GPS V onboard my Tornado for distance racing.
  • RMB accounts (citi or hsbc) - Shanghai Expat (visa, market) on 2008-09-16
    • The solution to your issue is so simple ...

      1. Take all your RMB out if Citibank. Tell them any story you wish ... tell them you want to take the cash home and stick it for safekeeping up your ass.

      2. Put the RMB into another bank.

      3. Take out whatever you want to change into US$ and exchange it $500 a day at a bank or in one lump sum at a money changer.

      4. Take the US$ and put them into your bank account.

      5. Wait a few days and go to a different branch or even a different bank to wire the money to your account back home.
