- Q: When I add an .msi file to the computer settings (not user) at the domain level, it will deploy when the computer starts up (even though I don't set it to deploy at logon), but if I set the .msi file to the OU it will not deploy, why is that?

- - Q: when distributing a package with GP what exactly does the upgrade feature do? Does it just uninstall/remove the old version and then install the new?
    A: There are two modes for doing an upgrade: you can do what we call a "rip and replace", which force uninstalls the old app and then installs the new app. Also, you can have the app upgrade "on top of" the existing app, which requires that the packages have upgrade logic authored in them.
  - Q: Can you deploy out of the box msi files( I mean the ones included at a software package) or do you have to build a msi file.
    A: Yes. If well written it should be able to work seamlessly.
