In C#, the list of assemblies where types are found is always determined by the project file or the command-line arguments to csc.exe. In XAML, we can specify the location of the source assembly for each namespace:

Because XAML is just a way to use .NET APIs, attempts to compare it to HTML,
Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), or other domain-specific formats/languages are
misguided. XAML consists of rules for how parsers/compilers must treat XML and
has some keywords, but it doesn't define any interesting elements by itself. So,
talking about XAML without a framework like WPF is like talking about C# without
the .NET Framework.

One of the reason's why I believe it will be huge is that at it's core it
exchanges data as tagged information
