SUMMARY

This was my school senior project that has worked out really well so far. It is a small scale aquaponics system that can be used in a home or school setting. The purpose of an aquaponic system is to cultivate fish and plants in a single system. The fish poop (very official I know) is broken down by a bio filter made up of our growing medium (in our case pea-pebbles) and the plants which helps the plants to grow. The water is then filtered and made cleaner by the biofilter formed by the pea-pebbles and plants. The plants and fish grow better in this environment and are totally organic. These products can then be sold or consumed.
