Greetings. My name is Tom Witmer. I teach world history and AP
European history at Livonia High School. Livonia is a rural community 30 minutes
south of Rochester, NY. At the beginning of this school year, nearly 80% of our
ninth grade students (nearly 160 in grade 9) expressed interest in making
contact with students in other countries. We have seven classes in all and we
(my colleagues Dan Roser, Jo Zambito and I) are interested in making direct
class to class or student to student connections. The My Identity, Your Identity
and the Get to Know Others projects have been recommended. Please let me know if
you have one or more classes of high school students who would like to begin
corresponding.
