      • Annual costs for being a member of the gOcad consortium


        Depending whether you are a company or a university, the costs are quite different:
        • In the case of a university or a non profit Organisation, the annual cost is US $2000 + Euros 4500 . In addition to the benefits presented above, this fee includes 4 free licenses (2 for non profit organisations) of the industrialized version of the gOcad software commercialized by the Earth Decision Sciences company. Note that this cost is split into two parts:
          • US $2000 go to ASGA for the budget of the gOcad research consortium;
          • Euros 4500 go to Earth Decision Sciences for maintenance of the gOcad software.
          • In the case of a company, the annual cost is US $22,000 for the budget of the gOcad research consortium. Copies of the industrialized versions of the gOcad software have to be independently purchased to the Earth Decision Sciences company.

    • iSIC (information muSIC) is an alternative approach to remotely monitoring complex systems like communications networks. It presents information in a synergized acoustical format that provides a holistic and uninterrupted audio model of the system under observation. iSIC is meant to complement, not replace traditional visually based systems. iSIC falls under the broader category of the field of sonification. The purpose of any sonification is to allow users to identify patterns in data through sound.

      weather      . Briefly, four daily weather elements (barometric pressure,
      high temperature, minutes of sunshine, and daily precipitation) over the
      span of about five years (1,800 days) are associated with specific notes
      and played by separate musical instruments speeded up either 675,000 or
      175,000 times. The higher the pitch, the more of the element there is, higher
      temperature or more precipitation for example. Other than that, nothing
      was changed in any weather element data series.
