    The bible says "God is light and in him is no darkness at all." I asked God about this. How could he cast a shadow? I know it could be symbolic but it bugged me. So one morning as I woke up God told me "what part of the Godhead casts a shadow?"
    Well Jesus would be the only one. Standing in the light of God who has no shadow (since he's pure light) Jesus earthly body would make a shadow. When we stand in what Jesus did on the cross, his perfect performance we are then in the shadow of Jesus which shields us from the judgement of God. This puts us in the love of God since "the love of God is in Christ Jesus". And we are in Christ jesus by.."he that eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me".
    The shadow thing always bugged me but now I understand it and its awesome.
    Jesus protection is also hinted at because it says underneath his wings you shall trust and Jesus said that he longed to hide jerusalem under his wings like a hen hides its chicks...
