Aviva Gabriel's Profile

Passionate about music of the world, especially hand drums and flutes. Love jazz. I'm an informationist, and love to do medical research on the internet. I will be bookmarking everything from progressive politics to botanical medicine, from social media to Buddhism. Enjoy, if you have a moment...

I use Diigo because I'm a Ma.gnolia and Furl refugee. I loved those services, because they archived the webpages I was bookmarking. Until recently, I was stuck with very slow dialup (11 kbps rather than the normal 50 kbps). So, it was crucial to me that I have copies of those pages that I could access quickly. I once used Diigo casually, several years ago, but didn't find it compelling. Now, Diigo seems to have drastically changed, and become a vital social exchange, as well as a simple bookmark repository. Also, it seems to be caching (archiving) my bookmarked webpages. (Is this true? Tell me it's true!) I'm looking forward to exploring its new features...
