About Listio for Web 2.0
"Listio for Web 2.0 was founded in the spring of 2007 by the founders at Boxador. The site was initially developed to start tracking web 2.0 applications and what is new and exciting in the web 2.0 space. What started as a hobby has evolved into a great directory and reviews website for web 2.0 applications. We continue to invest into Listio for Web 2.0 and into adding more value with a focus on the user of the web 2.0 applications. We try hard not be a gossip blog or a business viability opinion site. We only want to cover what these great web 2.0 developments are all about -- simplicity, usability and value to you, the end user."

Ed/ITLib DL → Leadership Development in Computer-Mediated Distance Education
There has been increasing number of research studies that were conducted to find the effectiveness of the Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC) as a tool for many distance education courses. The areas of the previous studies that compared the effectiveness of the CMC to that of the traditional classroom settings include, the grade received; participation frequency; perceived knowledge gained; overall satisfaction with the courses; and level of group collaboration. However, studies dealing with leadership development in CMC settings are scarce. This study investigated the development of leadership and the qualities that learners thought are important in deciding leaders in a CMC course. The study indicates that as in traditional settings, leadership in CMC course changed from topic to topic, but development of a leadership in CMC discussion was not critical for learning to occur. The qualities that were most important in deciding leaders were frequency and quality of postings.
