I found Schmap the other day, sadly a little too late for my ill-fated trip to Dublin (http://mp3cityguides.blogspot.com/2009/03/disappointment-of-dublin-city-guide.html), and I absolutely love it. As a concept that is. However don't you think that they should be doing more with new media such as audio and video content.
Surely that would bring the maps alive, giving you an even better idea of what to expect. Ultimately what would be great is to be able to see a video about each spot on the map and then, if it's a point of interest or attraction download the related location-specific audio guide for when you're actually on the ground.
At StrollOn (http://www.strollon.co.uk/london-chapters.aspx?cat=1000) this is exactly what we are trying to achieve, offering individual mp3 guides that can be aggregated by the user into a format that they want and need.
Although our site isn't finished yet, we'd love you to have a look at it and tell us what you think of what we are trying to achieve, either on the site or, preferably, on Diigo.
