There are a lot of people asking me the secret on how to make a successful goal setting, so I thought I'd share with you the basic principle of goal setting. The best effective way to set goals is to start by using the smart principles of goal setting. The smart goals give you a proven format and a much better chance of following through and achieving them. These smart principles also work greatly when setting goals within a company, department, or sales team.Here are some telesales tips on how to set a successful goal setting: Specify your goals. You can not just say that you want more money because if you did I'd hand you dollar and BAM - you'd have more money! Know all the details like: Where will it be kept? (Bank account? Mutual Fund? Stock Fund? CD earning5%?) Where will it come from? (Salary Overtime? Commission? Bonus? Sales Contest winnings?) You can clearly conceptualize when you know the specifics about your goal and be added benefit of being measurable. Your goal should be measurable. The best important thing about a measurable goal is that it makes you motivated. You'd quickly lose interest if you weren't able to see your growth. Just like a race without a finish line or a beauty contest without telling who's winning. In making your goals measurable, you'll get excited, get motivated and even benefit yourself every time a new goal is achieved. The goal should be attainable and believable. This is the first rule for all goal setting. You must set a goal that deep down you believe on what you can accomplish. If not, you'll end up leaving as soon as the going gets firm. On the other hand, you want to set a goal that is going to make you stretch a bit to attain it, but make it intense. Imagine about what would really inspire you if you achieved it, and then think about what you are willing to do to actually to reach it.
