Archive : The New Yorker
Newyorker.com has a complete archive of The New Yorker back to 1925.
To search the archive, use the box to the right. Most articles published since 2001, and a few earlier ones, are posted in full text. For everything else, there is an abstract that links to the full article in the digital edition. (For more on the digital edition, see the F.A.Q.) You can also browse the archive using the cover gallery.
For now, the complete archive is a benefit of subscription; others can buy online access to single issues. The New Yorker Store sells the complete archive on hard drive or DVD. Print copies of individual back issues may be ordered at 1-800-825-2510. To search for cartoons and covers, visit the Cartoon Bank. -
BookFinder.com: Search for New & Used Books, Textbooks, Out-of-Print and Rare Books
[From Joe, Mod1] A friend of mine recommended www.bookfinder.com. This is a portal which links to other websites such as Alibris and Abebooks. Unfortunately, I haven't tried it out yet, but will in the near future. At any rate, according to her, the beauty of the website is that it also links to private sellers in Amazon and allows you to price compare. She has always been very pleased with the speed of delivery and the quality of the copies she has received (clean second hand copies). Apparently they post everywhere and have reasonable rates.

Free delivery worldwide on all books from The Book Depository
[From David, Mod 1] I'd just like to let you know about a website I found online for buying books. The website is www.bookdepository.co.uk based in Gloucester. They have a really good selection of books, but the best thing is that they offer free worldwide shipping which is really helpful if you are studying abroad. Most of the books on the website are the same price, if not cheaper than other sites like Amazon and the websites that are mentioned in the DL handbook, which also usually charge a lot for shipping to other countries.
