An Introduction to Thich Nhat Hanh
Thich Nhat Hanh is Vietnamese. By his engagement, he is a world citizen. In Saigon in the early 1960s, he founded the School of Youth for Social Service, a grass-roots relief organization that rebuilt bombed villages and set up schools and medical centers, resettled homeless families and organized agricultural co-ops. Rallying over ten thousand student volunteers, the school based its work on Buddhist principles of non-violence and compassionate action.

Students Build First Ever Eco-friendly Mouse-trap Model Car
The Mouse trap model car competition saw students compete to design and build a model car using only recycled materials and a toy mouse trap. The Eco-model tournament featured 126 student teams aged 10 – 15, from a number of schools, to demonstrate how easily recycled products can be incorporated into daily lives. To win, the model car had to be designed well and also successfully tow a smaller toy car along a 10m track. The winning car was made by Chang Pui Chung Memorial School fought off stiff competition to claim the top spot.
