• I sent this question to a friend who worked in Saudi  Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply:
• Theologically?
• No, because his allegiance is to Allah,  the moon god of Arabia.
• Religiously?
• No, because no other religion is accepted  by his Allah except Islam.
• No, because his allegiance is to the five  pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).
• Scripturally?
• No, because his allegiance is to Mecca,  to which he turns in prayer five times a day.
• Geographically?
• Socially?
• No, because his allegiance to Islam forbids  him to make friends with Christians or Jews.
• No, because he must submit to the mullah  (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of  America, the great Satan.
• Politically?
• Domestically?
• No, because he is instructed to marry four  women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him.
• No, because he cannot accept the American  Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the  Bible to be corrupt.
• Intellectually?
• No, because Islam, Muhammad, and the  Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam  cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
• Philosophically?
• Spiritually?
• No, because when we declare "one nation  under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is  NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The  Quran's 99 excellent names.
• Therefore after much study and deliberation...perhaps  we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously  cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans.

• A new video released by the Christian Action Network shows Muslim women at a compound in New York state practicing throat-slitting techniques and assault weapons attacks.
• The video was distributed by the makers of the movie "Homegrown Jihad: The Terrorist Camps Around the U.S.," which documents how a jihadist group has developed dozens of training camps across the nation.
• WND reported at the time how Jamaat ul-Fuqra has built 35 compounds – mostly in the northeastern corridor of the U.S.
• Now the organization has posted on YouTube a "chilling" training video provided to CAN by an unnamed law enforcement source about the Muslims of America headquarters in Hancock, New York.
• Muslims of America reportedly is the name Jamaat ul-Fuqra, believed to have been involved in the beheading of reporter Daniel Pearl, uses in the U.S.
• The video includes segments of training exercises in which one person appears to practice a maneuver that would slit the throat of a victim.
• There are episodes of what appears to be automatic weapons fire at a target and incidents in which a handgun is held point-blank at a "victim's" head:
• and also reveals a Muslim confirming that the organization's own census revealed that Muslims are a majority in the United States and they are claiming it as their own.
• The video shows women marching in military formation, scaling walls, engaging in hand-to-hand combat
• The speaker states, "We are 100 percent sure that Muslims are the majority in America."
• He continues, "Our Islamic political party has based its manifesto on this fact. We want to declare once and for all that America is our country."
• According to CAN, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2005 warned about Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakistani-based organization that "had the capacity to attack" America.
• The U.S. State Department's 1998 "Patterns of Global Terrorism" report notes the organization "seeks to purify Islam through violence."
• The report continued, "Members have purchased isolated rural compounds in North America to live communally, practice their faith and insulate themselves from Western culture.
• Fuqra members have attacked a variety of targets that they view as enemies of Islam."
• CAN, led by Martin Mawyer, has researched Muslims of America for years and has provided its video to the FBI, State Department and Homeland Security.
• To date, there has been no response from the government, the group said.

• The hands of law enforcement and investigators are tied at this point, he said, because members of the organization are part of "a minority religion,"
• "they are African-American" "and in this particular case, are women."
• "Gilani has stated he is preparing his members to the Soldiers of Allah, and he's set up the most advanced guerrilla warfare training camps," he said. "He's being true to his word.
• Mawyer said. "I don't know how we continue to close our eyes and be blinded by such obvious affront to American values, the Constitution and our way of life."
• The organization's "Homegrown Jihad" video includes a chilling scene of Jamaat ul-Fuqra's leader Sheikh Mubarak Gilani telling followers to "act like you're his friend. Then kill him."
• According to the Religion of Peace website, there have been more than 250 jihad attacks by Muslims around the globe – including two inside the U.S. – in just the last two months.
• The death toll from the attacks has surpassed 1,400, the report says.

• Pre-massacre concerns about Hasan may have been off limits to FBI

• WASHINGTON – FBI agents who discovered Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's extremist ties before the Fort Hood massacre may not have had access to key Army records on the psychiatrist, U.S. Sen. Susan Collins said Tuesday.
• The Maine Republican said some information that terrorism investigators need stays in military education or training files "and does not make its way to the personnel files" – the records that intelligence agencies would see when deciding whether to investigate someone.
• Collins is the top Republican on the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, which is investigating how pre-massacre intelligence was handled.
• She spoke after a closed-door hearing with Defense Department officials.

  • Why is something like this discussed behind closed doors and in secret? Is it to keep from embarassing some government officials/politicians?

• Hasan's colleagues and superiors repeatedly raised concerns about him during his psychiatric training.
• Issues included his fundamentalist Islamic leanings, religious proselytizing, work performance and mental stability.

• "There appears to be a real gap in the protocols in the personnel procedures."
• Army spokesman George Wright said that in general, soldiers' supervisors decide whether to put letters of counseling or reprimand in personnel files.

• The "Nazi" aspect of Eurabia has come about through a combination of the introduction of waves of rabidly anti-Semitic Muslim immigrants, and the re-emergence of a dormant European ant-Semitism – dormant for a relatively brief period following WWII, that is. 
• Excepting Denmark, Nazi-occupied Europe during WWII was, by and large, all too willing to cooperate with the anti-Semitic policies of their German conquerors.
• It is important to realize that there was, and is, a great affinity between Communists and Fascists.
• The Nazis were no more a phenomenon of the right than Communism is. Fascism has always been aligned with the left.
• It is only because of the left's inimitable ability to turn the truth on its head that anyone suffers from the delusion that the Nazis were a right-wing ideology.

   
• Fallaci makes the point simply and clearly in her book The Force of Reason.
• She quotes an article from one of Italy's premiere Fascist magazines, written during the waning days of Mussolini's reign in 1944: 

   

  "Roosevelt and Churchill and their partners must realize that should the Axis...miss victory, the majority of Fascists escaped from the scourge would go over to Communism. They would make common cause with it, and this would cross the gap that today separates the two revolutions." 
• After the war, the newly camouflaged Fascists, mingled with subversive Communists, and did indeed "make common cause" in the years following the war.
• So the swastika belongs to the left, and always has.
• They slowly took over the press, the media, academia, and the governments of Europe – until the only conservative power left was in the people themselves. Sound familiar?
• These far left Communists and Fascists (neither calling themselves that, of course) pushed Europe inexorably to the left, and welcomed Islam as a "comrade in arms."
• In his 1955 book War and Peace in the Law of Islam, Islamic law scholar Majid Khadduri wrote, "The jihad [is] an instrument for both the universalization of religion, and the establishment of an imperial world state." The global Islamic Caliphate.
• "An imperial world state" – one can see the allure of Islam to the far left. The far left and Islam have been using each other as "useful idiots" for decades – playing off of each other to the detriment of freedom, capitalism, and democracy.
• It would be amusing to see how this "marriage of convenience" works out – from a safe seat on the sidelines – but there is no safe seat in this game, and everyone is perforce a player.
• With the assistance of liberal European media, politicians, and academics, Muslims have been immigrating to Europe for several decades.
• As the levels of Islamic immigration, and the time since the Holocaust increased, so has the amount of European anti-Semitism. 
• As Bruce Bawer notes in "While Europe Slept," it is now "...the European elite's conviction that Islamaphobia is the new anti-Semitism – that Muslims are now the victims, Jews the Nazis." 
• In typical "turn the truth on its head" style, the liberal (read that as Communist/Fascist) elite in Europe, in conjunction with their Islamic cohorts, have declared "open season" on Israel, and by implication, on all Jews.
• The anti-Semitism in Europe became so bad that, in 2003, the European Union (EU) compiled a report titled "Manifestations of Anti-Semitism in the European Union."
• Even though it was largely a whitewash of the situation, it was still deemed too inflammatory by the powers that be, and the report was buried and never published.
• Nonetheless, copies were leaked, and the report showed how widespread and violent, demonstrations of anti-Semitic behavior had become throughout Eurabia.
• Lars Hedegaard, of the International Free Press Society, notes that Jews in Malmo, Sweden's third largest city, cannot walk the streets if they openly show signs of their religion.
• If you have the time, you should watch Pat Robertson's short video report on the Malmo situation.
• The European country with the worst anti-Semitism and Muslim invasion problem is, bar none, France.
• Perhaps no other incident so vividly portrays France's predicament as the horrific murder of 23-year-old Ilan Halimi in 2006. Halimi was a Jewish Parisian who was kidnapped by a gang of Muslim immigrants, eponymously named "The Barbarians." For about a three-week period, Halimi was systematically tortured by his Muslim captors. 
• According to the Wall Street Journal...the gang phoned the family on several occasions and made them listen to the recitation of verses from the Quran, while Ilan's tortured screams could be heard in the background."
• Guy Millière adds
• the thugs cut bits off the flesh of the young man, they cut his fingers and ears, they burned him with acid, and in the end poured flammable liquid on him and set him on fire."
• In the same FrontPage article, Millière touches on a cultural phenomena endemic to cowed "normal" Muslims, and intimidated European dhimmi: "Many other residents in the building had heard a man screaming, but had decided to mind their own business instead of calling for help, even anonymously.
• 'When you live here, you think about yourself, and only about yourself,' one of them said."
• When Halimi was finally released, "He was naked, handcuffed, and bleeding profusely. He was incapable of speaking. His entire body – or "80% of it," according to police – had been butchered. He died of his wounds on the way to the hospital, just a few minutes after he was discovered," according to The New York Sun.

   
• And the beat goes on – 704 incidents of anti-Semitism were registered in France during the first nine months of 2009 compared to 350 during the same period of 2008.     
• Islamic intimidation and violence isn't limited to the Jews, of course. 
• In 2005 Denmark's largest newspaper Jyllands-Posten, in an effort to assert free speech, published a collection of cartoons centered on Mohammed. The echoes from the blast reverberate to this day.
• Recently Yale announced plans to publish a book about the Danish cartoons, titled The Cartoons that Shook the World – minus the cartoons.
• In a gutless move, Yale says that the book will be sans cartoons, because they are "concerned about a possible resurgence of violence."
• "When you live here, you think about yourself, and only about yourself." You see how it works? Welcome to the Caliphate.
• It's also worth noting that Yale has been paid off like some street whore, with millions in Saudi donations. (Don't smirk Harvard, your hands are dirty too).
• If bribery, threats, or intimidation don't work, Muslims may resort to murder.
• In 2004, Dutch political columnist, film maker and gadfly, Theo van Gogh, was murdered for his "Islamaphobia."
• His crime? He had made a short film about Islam's misogynistic treatment of women, called "Submission."
• When asked if he feared for his life after receiving death threats from Muslim extremists, he reportedly replied, "Nobody kills the village idiot." Sorry Theo, but even the "village idiot" is not immune from Islamic hatred.
• While bicycling one day, van Gogh was shot off of his bike, and then shot eight more times, his throat slit – nearly decapitating him – and stabbed repeatedly.
• Then his murderer – Dutch-born Muslim, Mohammed Bouyeri – took a letter he had written, and slammed a dagger through the letter and deep into van Gogh's chest, lest the letter blow away.

   

  One of the lines in the letter reads: "I know definitely that you, O America, will go down."
• Speaking of Islam's treatment of women, Britain now provides free surgery for women who have been the victims of Islamic ritual female genital mutilation (FGM).
• According to The London Times, "The procedure, predominantly carried out on girls aged between 5 and 12, can range from the removal of the clitoris to the removal of all the exterior parts of the vagina, which is then sewn up."
• The article continues, "Five hundred girls a year are treated for mental and physical complications at the UK's only specialist clinic at Guy's Hospital in London Bridge....But experts believe these figures are just the tip of the iceberg because a significant number of victims will never seek medical help."
• The Times notes that it is estimated that a considerable number of Muslim women living in the U.K. are victims of FGM.
• "A study by the Foundation for Women’s Health, Research and Development, estimated that 66,000 women living in England and Wales had been circumcised...." 
• Granted, this specific practice is limited to women from certain areas of the Islamic world – still and all, the UN estimates that "up to 130 million women have been genitally mutilated."
• In other areas of the Caliphate, the Muslim men have other means to keep their women in line – acid.
• As Nicholas Kristof writes in a New York Times article, acid is "commonly used to terrorize and subjugate women and girls in a swath of Asia from Afghanistan through Cambodia.
• Because women usually don’t matter in this part of the world, their attackers are rarely prosecuted and acid sales are usually not controlled. It’s a kind of terrorism that becomes accepted as part of the background noise in the region."
• I urge you to look at some photos of the victims of this Islamic technique of inspiring fear and submission. Especially if you're one of those liberal idiots who thinks "Burka Barbie" was a hoot. Go ahead, do it now – I'll wait.
• In his article, Kristof mentions Shahnaz Bukhari, who runs a clinic for Muslim women. He notes that Ms. Bukhari has documented nearly 8,000 women "who were deliberately burned, scalded or subjected to acid attacks, just in the Islamabad area.
• These atrocities are not all that rare.
• In only 2 percent of those cases was anyone convicted."
• One of the photos shows a woman who was blinded and had her nose cut off by her husband – yet another common technique for dealing with women who get too "uppity."
• What about more civilized areas – like Saudi Arabia for example? Better, but still nothing to write home about.
• The Huffington Post recently ran an article titled "Saudi Judge: Slapping your Spendthrift Wife is Okay." As indeed it is – in Saudi Arabia. 

   

  As is selling your female children.
• An article from last spring noted that an eight-year-old girl had successfully sued for divorce from the 50-year-old man her father had "married" her to – for $13,000.
• The article went on to note that there is a push to "put an end to the phenomenon."
• The "phenomenon" sounds an awful lot like legalized pedophilia to me.
• Did you know that Great Britain has two legal systems – one for Muslims, and the other for the rest of us – the dimam? I'm talking about Sharia law folks.
• Last year The Times of London observed that "The government has quietly sanctioned the powers for sharia judges to rule on cases ranging from divorce and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence."
• Domestic violence? Oh yeah, there'll be a whole bunch of Muslim men headed for jail in Britain now.
• And with Yale and Harvard turning out their post-America, indoctrinated "legal weasels," who despise the Constitution, and think it's just swell to look around the world for other, newer, better, more "socially just" interpretations of law – how long do you think it'll be before they make their move to insert sharia law into our U.S. system? Any bets?
• So is there any hope for Eurabia, or as Bawer says, is it a case where "Europe is committing suicide, and perhaps all we can do is look on in horror?"
• There are small signs of hope – I'll give you a couple.
• There was a short film made last year called Fitna by Dutchman Geert Wilders.
• Insofar as it throws “radical” Islam into a bad light – or rather, simply throws it into light – Fitna was a courageous undertaking, with Theo van Gogh's murder still fresh in the minds of both the Muslims and the dhimmis of The Netherlands. You should watch it.
• In Switzerland, the people recently voted to ban the building of minarets.
• Daniel Pipes notes that while the vote, in and of itself, may not be that consequential, it's indicative of a growing movement among the people (not the governments) of Eurabia.
• After the Swiss vote, magazines across Europe polled their readers to find out how they would have voted on the same issue.
• Pipes writes, "Although not scientific, the lop-sidedness of these...polls, ranging from 73 to 93 percent majorities endorsing the Swiss referendum, signal that Swiss voters represent growing anti-Islamic sentiments throughout Europe.
• The new amendment also validates and potentially encourages resistance to Islamization throughout the continent."
• Switzerland is the country that nobody messed with through two world wars. If you want to know why, check out their militia.
• Switzerland may have started something – which is not surprising, really.
• As Bill Walker says, "Nobody attacks the Swiss. Not even the Swiss attack the Swiss; their crime rate is minuscule."
• I should also add that Denmark, as could be expected, has shown some courageous resistance as well.
• What about America – how are we doing? How do we stack up against Eurabia?
• Well, we're doing much better than Europe, thank God, but that is rapidly changing for the worse.
• America's a hard nut to crack, but the tag team of the far left and Islamic militants is already deeply entrenched in this country and are going about their business with a vengeance.
• Like their European counterparts, the American left is rooted in Marxist/Communist/Fascist doctrines, and they have little trouble relating to another anti-freedom, anti-Western culture system, such as Islam.
• In the 1960s the American left was heavily influenced by the writings of French radical authors Jacques Derrida and Michel Foucault. They in turn had filtered the teachings of the German philosopher Martin Heidigger.
• Heidigger thought that the Nazis were the best thing since sliced bread, and the Nazi doctrines permeated his work.
• He went to his death bed believing that his philosophy confirmed the "inner truth and greatness of the Nazi movement." Some role model, huh?
• The point here is that far from being the polar opposites that the left has pretended they are for decades, Communism and Fascism are simply variations on a theme.
• Like pigs at a trough – it's a turf war, not an ideological dissonance.
• As the Italian Fascists did, near the end of WWII, either side will switch allegiances to the other, rather than submit to an alignment with the hated conservative right.
• So it comes as no surprise that the American Left has been all too ready to jump ship on Israel, and embrace the anti-Semitism of the Palestinians, al Qaeda, and Islam in general. It's now the hip thing, don't you know.
• Actually, selling Islam to America, as a whole has been a relatively easy sale. After all, we pride ourselves on our religious tolerance and freedom. Mi casa es su casa, right? 
• The thing is, Islam is one camel that may meekly put its nose in the tent – but it's not stopping until it's taken over the whole show, or you stop it.
• They're like really persistent religious proselytizers, with hand grenades, mortars, and bombs. You best go to the door ready to rumble, when these folks come knocking.
• Yes, there are many decent, law abiding Muslims, but – and this is a big BUT – there are many Muslims, and I mean many, who are gung-ho for a global jihad, and will slit your throat in a heart-beat, if that's what they think will further their cause and please Allah.
• At the beginning of their book Muslim Mafia, David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry make the following observation: 
• "[This book] is about the threat from Shariah Islam and violent jihad propagated by a criminal class of Muslims known as the Muslim Brotherhood, or the 'Ikhwan mafia.' This secretive organization dominates most established Muslim groups and mosques in America while exploiting, manipulating, and even victimizing law-abiding Muslim Americans."
• I'm afraid there's going to be collateral damage among innocent Muslims, unless they can get past the idea of "When you live here, you think about yourself, and only about yourself." That attitude is rapidly going to prove useless as a protection.
• As Dr. Emmanuel Tanay writes,
• "The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the 'silent majority,' is cowed and extraneous. History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. ...As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts -- the fanatics who threaten our way of life."
• The silent majority become "extraneous" and "irrelevant." You are naïve or ignorant if you think otherwise – I mean "ignorant" in its dictionary sense, of being uninformed. 
• The LSM (Lame Stream Media) is not uninformed, they're simply following the party line.
• They are silent on the topic of Islamic terrorism, for the same reason that NOW is silent about the injustices perpetrated upon Muslim women. 
• The usually vociferous "women's rights" movement has been meek as mice in this regard, because for the moment, the Fascist Islamic theocracies and the Global Elitists are aligned in their determination to destroy America.

• The message included a photograph of a man who had been beheaded, his body resting chest down on grass and his lifeless head placed in the middle of his own back.
• Another photograph showed a bloody knife.
• But the operator of The Religion of Peace website says those types of threats don't bother him much.
• "I don't think anyone who is serious about killing me is going to announce it in advance," the operator, who uses the pseudonym Glen Reinsford, told WND.
• "Still, one more reason to stay anonymous."
• Reinsford's website intends to demonstrate extreme violence is an integral part of fundamental Islam, not merely a means by which only radicals try to achieve "out-of-the-mainstream goals."
• Its list of "offerings" from the "Religion of Peace" for a single day this week: In Iraq, a bomb was placed near an ancient Christian church and two were killed; three innocents were cut down by a Taliban bomb in Afghanistan, and in Baghdad Sunni bombers murdered five Shia pilgrims.
• The site features a significant statistic: "Islamic Terrorists Have Carried Out more than 14,569 Deadly Terror Attacks since 9/11." 
• It also keeps readers updated on other statistics.
• For the week of Dec. 12-18, there were 42 jihad attacks, 182 people killed and 362 people critically injured.
• For the month of November, there were 139 attacks in 14 different nations involving five religions, with 529 fatalities and 1,075 critically injured.
• Its many stark descriptions include a report from Nov. 24 in Afghanistan: "Four children are blown to bits when Islamic fundamentalists set off a roadside bomb next to a family vehicle."
• The list is divided by years.
• Reinsford explained in his "About" page, his alarm came about because of the integration of Islam and violence, typified by the 9/11 attacks that killed almost 3,000 innocent bystanders.
• "In fact, some Muslims actually celebrated the attacks, and not just overseas, but even in the offices of the U.S. State Department," he wrote.

• It was not for three years, in fact, that there was even a fatwa issued against these attacks. To this day, major Muslim-American groups are reluctant to denounce Osama Bin Laden by name," he said.
• Islam, he noted, has been called a "religion of peace" by many, including President George W. Bush, who said, "The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam … Islam is peace."
• But Reinsford believes Islam inspires not only "an enormous amount of violence, but an astonishing level of indifference and self-centeredness as well."
• "We watched in the months following 9/11, as Muslim-American groups began to act as hindrances in the war on terror and the efforts of Americans to defend themselves.
• We saw them ignore nearly every act of daily Islamic terror and instead publicize obscure issues and personal slights against Muslims and 'insults to Islam' that are absolutely trivial by comparison.
• "Finally, we came to realize that this extraordinary arrogance and self-absorption on the part of the Muslim community, along with an inability to empathize with people who are not like them or engage in the sort of self-critique that leads to moral progress is in no way incidental to the religion.

  However, "we never once heard" from a Muslim condemning the violence. 
• So the mission was refined to "present the truth about Islam and how it is so tragically different from other religions, including its incompatibility with secularism and Western liberal values," he said.
• "The ridiculous level of violence committed in the name of this religion is staggering, despite the many billions of dollars that are spent each year to prevent attacks," he said.
• "Muslim apologists are constantly telling Westerners that the solution to the violence is greater understanding and tolerance for Islam.
• But isn't it the killers and their supporters who need lessons in tolerance and understanding … not their victims?"
• The website notes the horrific toll from Islamic attacks, with more victims each year than there were in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition

• In the e-mail interview, Reinsford told WND his is a one-man operation that costs several thousands dollars a year to keep online.
• The website came about to make a point about the extent of violence; not necessarily a reaction to the terrorism "but rather to the apathy on the part of Muslims."
• Early on I realized that there is something about Islam that really skews priorities."
• His work essentially is to simply list the incidents of violence.
• "The data for the list of attacks is compiled daily from Internet news sources. I try to stick with the more reliable reports – and I do strive for accuracy, although I'm sure the list is far from perfect," he told WND.

• Suspect Charged in Thwarted Terror Plot Aboard Detroit-Bound Jet

• A federal judge has told a Nigerian man that he is charged with trying to blow up a Northwest Airlines plane on Christmas Day.
• U.S. District Judge Paul Borman read 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab his charges in a conference room on Saturday at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, where he is being treated for burns.
• Agents brought Abdulmutallab into the room in a wheelchair. He had a blanket over his lap and wore a green hospital robe.
• The judge asked Abdulmutallab if he understood the charges against him. He responded in English: "Yes, I do."
• The judge told Abdulmutallab that he will be held until his next court appearance on January 8.
• Abdulmutallab is accused of setting off a device aboard a Northwest flight upon landing in Detroit, which resulted in a fire and what appears to have been an explosion.
• He was reportedly subdued and restrained by the passengers and flight crew. The airplane landed shortly thereafter, and he was taken into custody by Customs and Border Patrol officers.
• Preliminary FBI analysis found that the device contained PETN, also known as pentaerythritol, a highly explosive device.
• Abdulmutallab required medical treatment, and was transported to the University of Michigan Medical Center after the plane landed.
• A source tells Fox News that the suspect was granted a "multi-entry" visa to the U.S. last year, meaning that he could essentially come and go as he pleases.
• The source also says that Abdulmutallab has traveled to many European countries in the past year, possibly even Yemen.
• Abdulmutallab's father reportedly told a Nigerian news outlet that six months ago he alerted the U.S. Embassy to his son's fanatical religious views, according to the New York Post.
• The father, Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, allegedly told Nigerian newspaper This Day that he had informed both the U.S. Embassy and the Nigerian security services of his son's activities six months ago, the Post reported.
• "This alleged attack on a U.S. airplane on Christmas Day shows that we must remain vigilant in the fight against terrorism at all times," Attorney General Eric Holder said.

    The article states Napolitano said they "did not have enough information to keep a terror suspect from boarding a flight bound for Detroit and that the system worked as it should have."
  
  Was Department of Homeland Security counting on an ordinary citizen to take the terrorist-wannabe down? No mention of an air marshall traveling with the "suspect." Supposedly, they knew the terrorist was dangerous but they didn't have enough proof to arrest him before hand.

• First, terrorism expert Roger Cressey [who usually plays it straight], claimed there wasn't enough information to "connect the dots" and move young Umar from the "watch list" to the "no-fly" list. 
• Really? The guy's father, a respected international banker, was so concerned about his son's extremist Islamist views that he took the unusual measure of personally contacting the US embassy with a warning. 
• Dots?  How about a huge, flashing, neon exclamation point!?
• Next, John Harwood backhands GOP criticism of the Obama admin's national security policy as "partisan." 
• ROGER CRESSEY: It's important to understand that there are multiple lists.  The lowest level list, with over a half-a-million names, you can get on that list by one person saying "I believe you Peter have terrorist ties or extremist views." That's what happened with Abdul Mutallab in this case.  His father went to the embassy.  To get to the more sensitive and significant list, there has to be more information, there has to be corrobating information.  So it looks like right now, the intelligence community didn't have those additional pieces of information. We talk often about how there's a need to connect the dots.  Right now it appears there weren't enough dots to connect.

• Police arrest a man who has told seven Memphis businesses that he would “blow [them] to pieces” if they didn’t close. 
• When police pulled him over, they discover three cassettes with Islamic instruction on them,
• and discover that the suspect, Mohamed Ibrahim, has been telling people that he wants to conduct jihad in Memphis. 
• When they arrest him, he kicks out the window of the police cruiser and has to be subdued with pepper spray.

• Tonight, Mohamed Ibrahim is out after posting $100 bond. Earlier in the day, he was arrested after police say he walked into several Memphis businesses and threatened to blow them up.

   

  Court records show Ibrahim was also telling people he was Muslim, and wanted to start a jihad, or holy war, in Memphis.

   

  Police say when they arrested him, he had a butcher knife hidden in one of his jacket sleeves.
• As I recall, any blade over a few inches becomes illegal to conceal.  Unless this is the world’s smallest “butcher knife,” a CCW charge should have been added to the list.
• Why wasn’t he charged with carrying a concealed weapon? 
• For that matter, where’s the resisting arrest charge?  Damage to public property?
• seven businesses now have to hire security that they probably can’t afford in case Ibrahim isn’t impressed enough with the American legal system to suspend his jihad. 
• The police certainly did their part, but they can’t just station themselves at all of these businesses for the foreseeable future.  The alleged extortion may work just out of fear — which is exactly what terrorists intend.
• Ibrahim’s actions should have raised a number of red flags to a judge, who had a wide range of options at his or her disposal.
• Update: Either the original reporting was incorrect or the bail got increased in Ibrahim’s court appearance this morning.  According to Shelby County courthouse website, the bail is now at $50,000 (case number 09148795).  He has a court date of January 11th.  Thanks to Robert A for the information.
• Update II: I’ve left a message with the county DA’s office to clarify whether the two press reports were wrong, or whether the judge changed the bail today at the arraignment.  I’m guessing that it’s the latter, but will update the post when I find out.

• President Obama yesterday pulled his head out of the sand long enough to promise a thorough review of US se curity practices after the near-suicide bombing of a commercial airliner over Detroit on Christmas Day.
• Then he stuck it right back in.
• Obama, in a brief address from Hawaii, did manage to utter the "T" word: "A full investigation has been launched into this attempted act of terrorism." But he refused to define the nature of the threat.

• Nor did he fire Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano -- a pity, because if any government official ever earned the boot, it's her.

• Sunday, she claimed "the system" she allegedly oversees "worked" on Christmas Day -- even though Nigerian jihadist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab brought a bomb aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 253 and almost detonated it.
• The claim was nonsensical, as she finally noted yesterday -- "the system didn't work" -- but not before destroying the credibility she needs to hold the job.
• Yet Obama is short on credibility, too.
• Why can't he bring himself to describe the threat for what it is: an Islamist holy war against America?

  Really? Is that all?
• The bomber's own father warned US officials in October that his son had fallen in with Islamic radicals.
• Abdulmutallab himself reportedly told federal officials he trained with al Qaeda in Yemen -- and, for what it's worth, al Qaeda in Yemen confirms that.
• And ABC News reported yesterday that two of Abdulmutallab's Yemeni trainers had been released from Guantanamo Bay to the Saudis in 2007 -- and then set free after (no joke) "art therapy rehabilitation."
• Meanwhile, Brian Jenkins of the Rand Corporation reports 12 incidents of Islamist terror either in the United States or involving Americans abroad in 2009, the most in any year since 9/11. (These include the Fort Hood massacre.)

• See the trend line?

  Obama refuses to.
• "Those who would attack our country" is how he described the jihadis -- a formulation he used four times in his brief address.

• But if the president refuses to define the enemy, how can he expect America to defend against that enemy?

  No wonder Napolitano is so confused.
• No reasonable person believes that terror screening can ever be foolproof. But Americans need full confidence that their government is addressing the problem as vigorously as possible.

• This would require Obama to order two basic changes in anti-terror policy:

  * Captured terrorists need to be treated as such -- and not as common criminals. Abdulmutallab needs to disappear down a black hole somewhere, and stay there until the war on terror is over. No criminal trials for terrorists.

  * Homeland Security needs to quit pretending little old ladies from the heartland pose a security threat and institute an intelligent traveler-profiling policy that targets Middle Eastern males.
• Certainly, Abdulmutallab's attack was instructive: Who knew it was so easy to waltz through security with high explosives stuffed down one's pants?
• But while odds are that some equally imaginative jihadist will someday succeed, a comprehensive, focused anti-terror policy will make that much less likely.

  All organizational systems and strategies require competent, committed executive management that is capable of leading, not just relying on an adopted plan. The people at HSA and TSA have had neither in this administration. If you have a security or intelligence organization operating with a two year old fixed blueprint that is fighting a dynamic foe, then you’re not doing your job. The buck stops on the President’s desk, nor the former occupant.

• CNN Trots out Jihad Teaching Extremist, Calls Him Instructor of Islam

• As has been noted here in the recent past, it isn't just government entities that are a little slow on the uptake when it comes to identifying radical Muslim preachers as accessories to terrorism - it's also the media. 
• Consider the case of Anwar al-Awlaki, a man who has consistently shown ties to terrorist attacks, yet who had gone predominantly under the media radar as nothing more than a simple cleric.
• Also consider the curious case of one Yasir Qadhi, a man recently interviewed by CNN for a sympathetic look at the failed underwear bomber, Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab. 
• A man who has apparently escaped background investigations by both CNN and the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC).  (H/t the Jawa Report)
• How else to explain CNN's representation of Qadhi as a simple, orthodox teacher of Islam, who had no idea of the extremist views of AbdulMutallab? 
• And how else to explain the baffling decision by the NCTC to utilize Qadhi in its deradicalization efforts?
• What, you might ask, is wrong with presenting this man as a moderate teacher of ‘the nuts and bolts of Islam?'
• Well, for starters, he is - by his own admission - a proud member of the U.S. terror watch list, and an instructor at an institution so extreme in their teachings, that an anti-terror consultant once dubbed the school ‘Jihad U.'
• The CNN interview links the underwear bomber, AbdulMutallab, to Yasir Qadhi via a 16 day conference held in 2008 to teach young Muslims "the nuts and bolts of Islam." 
• The conference, known as an Islamic Knowledge Fest, was simply harmless we are led to believe, teaching young Muslims of "orthodox Islam for the 21st Century," and nothing more than "mainstream Islamic stuff."
• In fact, Qadhi is portrayed as the antithesis of the underwear bomber, expressing a bit of astonishment as to how the individual he knew could have ever developed into the extremist he has become.
• This conference however was organized by the Al Maghrib Institute where Qadhi is the Dean of Academic Affairs, an establishment not exactly known for its mainstream teachings.
• In fact it had earned the nickname ‘Jihad U' by anti-terrorism consultant, Patrick Poole, who in 2007 voiced his concern that their Islamic studies program was preaching "messages of religious extremism, racial bigotry and advocacy of jihad and militancy." 
• The following list confirms those thoughts, and apparently is what passes as ‘mainstream Islamic stuff' these days:
• Holocaust denial always seems to be a favorite of terrorists, and Qadhi is no exception. In a 2001 lecture Yasir Qadhi highly recommends that listeners read a book known as the Hoax of the Holocaust, urging them to ‘look up yourself what Hitler really wanted to do.'
• Qadhi served as a guest speaker at a conference organized by the Islam Channel, who's Chief Executive Officer was convicted terrorist Mohamed Ali Harrath.
• Qadhi is an ardent defender of Dr. Ali al-Timimi, convicted of inciting terrorism via the Virginia Jihad Network. The good doctor urged his followers to take up arms against U.S. troops shortly after the 9/11 tragedy.
• Perhaps we need a new color, as the red flags consistently being thrown up concerning terrorists, their preachers, and their teachers, aren't being readily recognized by the media or the government.
• CNN also misses the boat with the following statement:
• "Qadhi says there was no indication AbdulMutallab in 2008 was extreme in his views."
• But the Times Online indicates that there was plenty of indication that AbdulMutallab had certainly developed close ties to the terrorist (not cleric) Anwar al-Awlaki as early as 2007, and that U.S. counter-terrorism authorities believe his radicalization started during a period between 2005 and 2008.
• So much for the NCTC's deradicalization program - it appears Qadhi has developed more of a post-radicalization reputation.
• But hey, he's just a simple professor of Islam.  Words themselves can do no harm, they are not actual acts of terrorism. 

• Just ask the media about their handling of the simple ‘cleric' al-Awlaki.

• Long a reliably patriotic media source in the war on terror, Fox News may now be among news outlets who have fallen under the spell of the Council on American-Islamic Relations' propaganda machine.
• "We own the media," CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper privately brags, according to a source currently working inside the aggressive Islamist lobby group.
• Fox News host Bill O'Reilly last week invited the TV-savvy Hooper on his show to debate passenger profiling, the second guest appearance by the CAIR spokesman in a month.
•

• At the end of the segment, O'Reilly thanked Hooper and called him a "stand-up guy," sending shockwaves through the conservative blogosphere.
• CAIR is no ordinary guest.
• The government has blacklisted it as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator, and the group remains under criminal suspicion by the FBI, which has cut off outreach ties to it.
• Congress and the IRS also are investigating CAIR, which has had no fewer than 15 executives and board members convicted or implicated in terror probes, including its founding chairman.
• In addition, CAIR's very existence as a legitimate corporation has been challenged in a lawsuit in federal court.
•

• Given CAIR's proven ties to terrorism – which O'Reilly failed to mention – why would Fox offer the group's top executives a virtually uncritical forum on prime-time cable TV? Saudi Arabian money may be a factor.
• It turns out that the same billionaire Saudi prince who owns a major stake in Fox's parent company also bankrolls Washington-based CAIR.
• And sensitive State Department records reveal Hooper – despite his repeated public denials – has personally solicited cash from the prince and other members of the ruling Saudi royal family during recent trips to the kingdom.
• The common financial bond between Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal and Fox, and between bin Talal and CAIR, raises questions not only about Fox News's independence, but about the truthfulness of CAIR's top spokesman.
• Hooper repeatedly has denied that CAIR receives foreign support, insisting it's a "grass-roots" nonprofit organization.
• In CAIR press releases, Hooper has stated unequivocally: "We do not support directly or indirectly or receive support from any overseas group or government."
• However, smoking-gun video footage obtained during a recent six-month covert investigation of CAIR puts the lie to Hooper's claims.
• In a private conversation with undercover researcher Chris Gaubatz, who was posing at the time as a CAIR intern, Hooper boasted that he personally can "bring (in) a half million of overseas money" a year, adding: "If some guy's got a lot of extra money in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), I don't mind taking it."
• Hooper made the remarks Aug. 30, 2008, during the Islamic Society of North America's 2008 annual convention in Columbus, Ohio.
• A State Department cable citing Hooper by name, moreover, directly contradicts Hooper's denials about foreign support, according to the blockbuster book "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America," which exposes the secret inner workings of CAIR, among other radical Muslim Brotherhood front groups in America.
• The sensitive but unclassified communiqué was written by U.S. Embassy staff in Saudi Arabia, who in June 2006 reported the following after meeting with a CAIR delegation:
• "One admitted reason for the group's current visit to the KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) was to solicit $50 million in governmental and non-governmental contributions."
• "(Saudi) King Abdullah knows CAIR very well," the cable added.
• Among other things, CAIR said the money would be used to "counter negative stereotypes about Muslims in the U.S." media, a phenomenon described by CAIR as "Islamophobia."
• The core delegation, according to the cable, consisted of Hooper, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad and then-CAIR Chairman Parvez Ahmed. Besides Riyadh, the trio also visited Mecca and Jeddah.
• Just three months after the trip, Hooper denied soliciting Saudi government funds.
• "To my knowledge, we don't take money from the government of Saudi Arabia," he said in a September 2006 appearance on MSNBC's Tucker Carlson show.
• At a meeting held that year at the Saudi headquarters of the kingdom-run World Assembly of Muslim Youth – whose U.S. branch was formerly run by Osama bin Laden's nephew – CAIR announced the launch of a massive PR campaign and warned potential donors that the U.S. was trying to curtail the political activity of Muslims.
• Awad, with Hooper at his side, said CAIR needed a well-funded endowment to change American opinion.
• He proposed spending $10 million annually for five years on the media campaign.
• "We are planning to meet Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal for his financial support to our project," Awad told the Arab press. "He has been generous in the past."
• Indeed, the Saudi prince donated at least $500,000 to CAIR after 9/11.
• He also presented a $10 million relief check to then-New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani – or at least he tried. Giuliani rejected the gift after bin Talal blamed America's "pro-Israel" policies in the Middle East for the attacks.

• Bin Talal, a member of the Saudi ruling family, owns a 5.5 percent voting stake in Fox News' parent News Corp., run by media tycoon Rupert Murdoch.
• The prince has said he is willing to increase his share in Fox's parent to fend off hostile takeover bids by rivals.
• Murdoch, in turn, has invested in bin Talal's Saudi-based enterprises.
• It is not immediately clear if bin Talal has influenced Fox's decision to book CAIR. But there is strong evidence that bin Talal has directly influenced Fox News content in the past.
• As WND reported, during violent street protests involving Muslim immigrants in France in 2005, the Saudi prince persuaded Murdoch to change a screen banner that identified the unrest as "Muslim riots."
• "I picked up the phone and called Murdoch (and told him) these are not Muslim riots, these are riots out of poverty," bin Talal said. "Within 30 minutes, the title was changed from 'Muslim riots' to 'civil riots.' "

• Fox News has acknowledged it changed the banner after receiving complaints from unnamed Muslims abroad. It has not denied bin Talal's influence in its internal operations.
• Bin Talal isn't the only member of the ruling Saudi elite bankrolling CAIR.
• Bank wire records published exclusively in "Muslim Mafia" show another Saudi royal family member has pumped six-figure sums into CAIR coffers.
• In 2007, for example, Saudi Prince Abdullah bin Mosa'ad transferred $112,000 directly into CAIR's bank account at Citibank.
• The Saudi bank transfers further undermine the official line peddled by Hooper, who has a reputation for dissembling.
• Longtime CAIR critic Andrew Whitehead, for one, calls him "CAIR's liar-for-hire,"
• CAIR sued Whitehead for defamation and lost.
• "The record shows CAIR habitually engages in deception," said terror expert Steven Emerson, executive director of the "Investigative Project on Terrorism" and author of "Jihad Inc."
• In 2003, for example, CAIR accused WND of "demonizing Muslims" for citing a Bay Area newspaper's report that CAIR's then-chairman, Omar Ahmad, told a gathering of Muslims that Islam was in America to dominate and that the Quran would one day rule over America.
• Despite CAIR's dubious reputation, Fox has recently given Hooper and other top CAIR leaders an unchallenged platform to persuade the American public to back off passenger profiling and other measures to counter an ominous upswing in terrorism.
• Since the Fort Hood terrorist attack by a Muslim Army officer, CAIR's leaders have been invited on Fox at least four times, even though there are several other Muslim groups considered genuinely moderate who could speak for the Muslim community, such as the American Islamic Forum for Democracy.
• "The issue," Emerson said, "is whether CAIR is an honest and reliable broker for American Muslims."
• Hooper was invited on "The O'Reilly Factor" twice to shoot down profiling following the attempted airline attack by a Muslim would-be suicide bomber who concealed explosives in his underwear.
• In both appearances, Hooper – looking less fundamentalist without his trademark kufi skull cap – was given a full segment unopposed and unanswered by other guests.
• In the wake of the Fort Hood attack, CAIR chief Awad was invited on Fox, and in an interview with Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, Awad denied Islam had anything to do with the deadly massacre – even though it was known at the time that the shooter was Muslim and had yelled "Allahu Akbar!" before opening fire. Awad also got a full segment unopposed.

• Fox did not balance Saylor with an opposing guest to challenge the CAIR spokesman during his full segment, in which he contended young Muslim men are no more "security threats" than 85-year-old grandmothers.
• Most recently, CAIR's chief lobbyist Corey Saylor appeared on Fox New during an interview with anchor Bill Hemmer.
• Washington recently added Saudi Arabia – CAIR's patron – to a list of 14 mostly Muslim nations whose travelers will undergo extra airport security screening.
• Saylor slammed the new Obama administration policy as "across-the-board profiling" and complained "Muslims will pay the price for this one."
• At no time during any of the four appearances by CAIR leaders did Fox bring up the fact that the FBI has cut off ties to CAIR or that the Justice Department has blacklisted the group as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator – information critical to the public's understanding of CAIR's possible bias in delinking terrorism from Islam and arguing against Islamic terrorist profiling.

• Curiously, even O'Reilly of "no-spin zone" fame failed to so much as hint at the many controversies surrounding CAIR in his introduction of Hooper.

• O'Reilly also let Hooper get away with a glaring falsehood during his most recent appearance.  

  Hooper maintained CAIR does not share al-Qaida's "talking point" that America and the West are "at war with Islam." Yet after the Iraq war, CAIR's chairman declared: "The United States is at war with Islam itself."  
• Detractors say the misleading statement is yet another example of CAIR's deceptive tactics, which should give the media pause before booking CAIR representatives as the official voice of Muslim Americans.
• Investigative journalist Paul Sperry, co-author of "Muslim Mafia," says giving CAIR's leaders a media platform is "like giving Hamas and the terrorist enemy a platform."
• He notes that while CAIR may bill itself as a "civil-rights advocacy group," the FBI says that far from being a benign nonprofit, it's an American front group for Hamas terrorists and the radical Muslim Brotherhood – the parent of both Hamas and al-Qaida.
• The bureau last year cut off formal ties to CAIR's national office in Washington and all 30 of its branch offices across the country.
• CAIR at the time blamed its ban on the "right-wing" Bush administration and confidently predicted that a Democrat administration would restore relations. Yet fully a year into the Obama administration, CAIR remains frozen out of any formal outreach with the FBI.
• At the same time, the Justice Department has blacklisted CAIR as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator in the largest terror finance case in U.S. history, against the Texas-based Holy Land Foundation. The trial ended in convictions on all 108 counts.
• Prosecutors have also connected CAIR directly to the Muslim Brotherhood, a worldwide jihadist movement that seeks to institutionalize Saudi-style Shariah law in America and the West through immigration, coercion and political infiltration.
• "From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists," assistant U.S. Attorney Gordon Kromberg stated in a court filing.
• He adds that the Saudis and CAIR's other Arab patrons pay him well for it – more than $95,000 a year in total compensation, IRS records show.
• Who is 'Dougie' Hooper?
• He also commands a six-figure annual budget for conducting opposition research against CAIR's enemies – which internal documents revealed in "Muslim Mafia" include, ironically, Fox's O'Reilly and other "right-wing" media personalities.
• A Canadian immigrant, the 53-year-old Hooper was known as "Dougie" before he converted to Islam.
• His birth name is Cary Douglas Hooper, according to government records.
• He became a member of the Cairo Foreign Press Association while working for periodicals in the Egyptian capital, the global headquarters of the radical Muslim Brotherhood.
• Hooper also worked for local TV stations in Minnesota, where he once let it slip out that he favored Islamic rule in America.

• "I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future," Hooper said in a 1993 interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
• "But I'm not going to do anything violent to promote that. I'm going to do it through education."
• "This is Hooper's real agenda," Sperry said, "make no mistake."
• In an October interview with CNN, Hooper denied charges of Middle Eastern influence-peddling: "We have no ties of any kind to any foreign group in any form."
• However, CAIR is on record promising to do the bidding of its Arab backers.

• In 2006, shortly after a company owned by the United Arab Emirates lost a controversial bid to take over control of several major U.S. ports, Awad, Hooper and other CAIR officials traveled to the UAE to meet with its rulers.  

  It was agreed that the UAE would set up an endowment in the U.S. run by CAIR to fund an "education" program to change negative perceptions about Islam that the UAE believes contributed to the public outcry that derailed its multibillion-dollar ports deal.   
• The endowment caught the attention of the U.S. government, which issued another sensitive State Department cable regarding the unusual deal.
• It noted UAE Minister of Finance Sheik Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum endorsed a proposal to build a $24 million property in the U.S. to serve as an endowment for CAIR to launch its $50 million image-building campaign through 2011.
• "The endowment will serve as a source of income," Awad told the Arab press at the time, "and will further allow us to reinvigorate our media campaign projecting Islam and its principles of tolerance."
• CAIR is working out details of its endowment with the Dubai-based Al-Maktoum Foundation, founded and controlled by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai.
• The anti-Israeli charity has held telethons to support families of Palestinian suicide bombers and other so-called "martyrs."
• After 9/11, the Al-Maktoum Foundation took a nearly $1 million stake in CAIR's headquarters property, just three blocks from the U.S. Capitol, as first reported by Sperry in his 2005 book, "Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington."
• Sperry said. "Of all people, Fox should know better than to give the enemy voice. There are other legitimately moderate Muslim voices out there who can better speak for the broader Muslim community, and they aren't hard to find. Why Fox keeps going back to CAIR really makes one wonder about the influence Saudi money is having at Fox."
