Why would teachers use Diigo? | Diigo
-
I used Diigo in a Research and Composition class last semester and found that it was one of the best tools for research I could incorporate.
I had two sections of the class and I created a single group for all of my students. They all created Diigo accounts and joined the group. As students found information for their topic, they added it to the class group. This way, other students who were researching on the same topic could see their sources as well as read the annotations written by other students. It also meant that I could get a better view of the research they were doing and make comments and talk about more specific research areas as the semester progressed.
All of my students loved Diigo and, at the end of the semester, they asked me if they could "keep" their accounts. I'm still getting bookmarks that my students have shared with me.

Living in the Clouds - Diigo | CloudAve
-
-
In this week's post in the Living in the Cloud series, I am going to talk about bookmarks in the cloud. In my early days of Living in the Clouds, I was using Delicious as my cloud based bookmarking tool. It was my favorite
Web 2.0 era tool. I loved it so much that I refused to look at any othersocial bookmarking apps . When I started blogging here at Cloud Avenue, Zoli recommended us to use another bookmarking site calledDiigo for our research purposes. I agreed to use this app very reluctantly and I never looked back since then.
