    The organization of this site is the Financial Accounting Standards Board. FASB is a well known accounting organization that sets the standards according to the Securities Exchange Commision. They set the rules and guidlines accounts must follow in accordance to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP). The site displays the most current accounting information, with new information as early as February 5, 2010. Their goal is to inform accountants with new rules, changes, and guidlines that all accountants should follow. Their intended audience is accounting professionals. The organization sets the rules, so their informational is useful, accurate and up to date.

    AccountingWEB is an online shift media publication for accountants. They provide practical, topical online resources for solving business issues, locate suppliers and networking with peers. The site provides news updates, frequently asked questions and answers, tax, CFO and technology info., education and career help, and a bloggers page. Some of the worlds leading professionals have posted their personal knowledge and experiences to help individuals overcome there own problems. There is current information updated nearly every day. The information is very useful because it covers topics from multiple situations that may help in various different problems.

    Everybody's ABC of Accounting language was written by the request of students to assit with their studies. It was written by Jayne Smith, however it was published in 1997; therefore it is a little out of date but I do not believe much has changed. Jayne is currently a principal lecturer at Staffordshire University Business School and head of accounting and finance division. This site is very useful for studying because it lists many common terms used by accountants and gives the rules and regulations, definition, and examples. Targeted toward college students pursuing an accounting degree.
