Mostly discusses the traditional use and thoughts on rhetoric. The one I enjoyed the most was the art of influencing the thought and conduct of an audience.
Very Well thought out concepts and Ideas on the use and definitions of rhetoric. Was interesting as it look at the many facets of this idea and goes back to look through history to understand where we are in today's society.
Interesting take on definitions as compared a couple others as they give your standard English terms but with options of thesaurus and examples of how this term and ideas of it can be utilized.
Conclussion
The assignment and ideas motivated behind and the textbook are basically attempting to further the thinking process behind communication and the professional interactions of workplaces. The hope in my opinion is to try and gather a more broad and informed view about what and how rhetoric is and is utilized. The definitions that I came across in my search tended to be similiar overall in the terms of how its classically defined. However, it as anything can be played upon for positives and negatives which are also portrayed in the textbook. My favorite out the the searches will be noticed below and is a more historical perspective on the abilities of rhetoric. The true power of this concept is really to me showcased in the ability of use words and communication to relate to an audience and therefore achieve the goals, desires, or tasks at hand.
