There's an easy way: instead of changing aliases file, create fie named bad_list in /etc/modprobe.d containing this line:
Now reboot and voila, no IPv6 on your system!Code:alias net-pf-10 off
This method will work even if /etc/modprobe.d/aliases get replaced at some update.

If you want to try out my scripts, you're welcome. This folder full of scripts and files is only intended as a temporary measure and I am still hoping StartUp Manager will someday be updated for GRUB2. Then I can delete these rough scripts, but according to the SUM change log nothing has been done since 2008-12-23 Version: 1.9.12, if the change log is still being kept up to date.
