(new realtime results) OneRiot.com - Find the Pulse of the Web
I prefer OneRiot's results to Google News, which highlight scripted reactions to [current events]. What separates OneRiot from Google is that a OneRiot search returns whatever URLs have been most recently tweeted, by anyone, without trying to weigh them for authority.

TweetMeme Search
Tweetmeme is a mashup app that tracks what's cool and being talked about among the Twitter crowd. Whatever's being talk about most, gets a higher ranking. Tweetmeme tracks new and old content to see just what's hot in the Twiiter sphere. With Tweetmeme, you can literally track when and how a website goes viral. All new content is cast into the virtual 'river' and set float for others to jump on. Content is also categorized into blogs, audio, video and images. There's RSS feeds for the river as well. See what everyone's twittering about; don't get left out.

Gigablast
An interesting up-and-coming search engine, "Founded in 2000, Gigablast was created to index up to 200 Billion pages with the least amount of hardware possible." Gigablast also locates Word, Excel, PDF, and other non-HTML files, and like Google and Yahoo!, it provides cached (most recent "archived copy") of these files. It also links you to multiple "older copies" via The Internet Archive Wayback Machine. In addition, it also provides full Boolean searching, so keep an eye on Gigablast, too.
