Presentation tools
Prezi is the zooming presentation editor. You have to see this really cool tool to understand how it works! It is like a moving and zooming powerpoint.
A easy-to-use presentation tool. It comes with backgrounds and images and you can add photos and movies.
Recordings
These are good tools for creating short videos for the commercial or different ending options.
Kerpoof is an online tool that allow students to create short movie clips. Students can create an interview type show where they interview characters in the book, create a short movie trailer for the book, or actually have characters act out portions of the book.
Place to have live streaming videos. This site also will save previous recorded videos. This could be used to act out the t.v. commercial option or to act out your different ending.
Kid-cast.com is a website for kids to publish their own Podcasts so that other kids can listen. Students can record their different ending to their book or record their t.v. commercial about the book they read.
Thinking or Mind Maps
The story map includes a choice of four organizers: character map, conflict map, resolution map, and a settings map. You can print out your map when you are finished.
MindMeister is an online mind-mapping software. Students can create double bubble maps comparing their book to it's movie version with this tool. This free software allows real-time collaboration that can allow students to work together on the map from different computers at the same time.
Letters
The letter generator can be used to create a "friendly-letter" to a friend advising him or her to read the book.
Comic or Storyboards
The Comic Creator is an interactive tool to create comics. You can select a template, add people, speech bubbles, and props. You can also print out your comic.
A great presentation tool that allows comments via text, audio, and video. This could be used to narrate comics or a storyboard.

Other
Students can add photos, video, audio and text to their timeline to support telling the story sequentially. Themes, colors, backgrounds, and background music can be added to further personalize the timeline.
