Allana K's classroom in Nelson, NZ. Her school bought some Apple computers and used them for Math and Language Arts. She then started to blog....then she got her students to blog and each week she has a blog monitor...she then started to use web2.0 tools, del.icio.us account, site counter, Blogmeister and then started to do some podcasting.
I attended a BLC06 conference last summer and keynote Marco Torres, was a keynote. In one of his smaller sessions he showed a great movie clipped and asked the audience to promote and share it. Movie: Digital Students @ Analog Schools Students today are native to technology and schools seem to be stuck in the past. They are not accommodating to todays digital learners. Lucy wants to learn better English so that she can teach her and Ricky's baby. She gets Ricky to read a book and that has the 'ough' throughout it...however, the ough sound varies from word to word i.e., bough, cough, rough, brought etc....this is a perfect example of why we should be using text to speech
