This site allows you to upload a video and add subtitles in order to make it accessible. You can also view other videos that have been uploaded.
Excellent engaging and educationally sound instructional videos. This science site for grades 1-6 also has great accessibility options including visual, auditory and keyboard shortcuts. I learned about this from Paul Hamilton's October 20, 2008 post. According to Paul, Many of the activities include captioned video where the "captions" can be read aloud. Other activities use diagrams and interactive images to present material. All text can be read aloud, and can be repeated upon request.

100 Ways to Use Your iPod to Learn and Study Better. Jan Fraser recommended this excellent list of ways to use your iPod for education.
Too fun and very addictive. Wait for the small ad to finish, then click Play and then Play again to get into the game. The object is to advance a small red ball along a course to capture a flag. Uses basic shapes, hinges, and pins. Objects behave the way they would in the real world, so they are subject to gravity. After you've tried a few of the more difficult levels, search for Magic Pen on YouTube and prepare to be amazed at some of the ingeneous solutions. I am sad to report that it isn't very easy to use on the SMARTBoard.
Give free rice to hungry people by playing a simple word game. This would be a fun activity for intermediate and high school students. if the words are too difficult for students, they can start back at level 1 with words like "penny" and "pony". You can also change the subject at the top of the screen to practice grammar, geography, time tables, and other skills. Warning...it's completely addictive.
Unbelievably good video with rap. The Week in Rap provides a weekly summary of current events in a hip-hop music video for teens and students. If you're bothered by the mostly American content, issue a challenge to your students to create the Canadian version. Recommended by Kelly Tenkley at iLearn Technology.
