Lets you create a unique page with thumbnails from the websites of your choice. This would be a useful took for students to do research and collect their websites. I would use it for collecting websites to show for a presentation.
Unbelievable graphics and 14 great writing activities based on interesting photos of Egyptian artifacts. For each activity, you have a choice of displaying the activity on the screen or printing it out.
Recommended by Kelley Tenkley. Similar to Virtual Museum Box in that you can create a poster or movie of archived historical photos.
Wow! Excellent resource explains Bloom's Taxonomy and its evolution into the digital equivalent.
On this site, you can view an animated myth or story and have it read to you or read the text only version. You can also create your own animated and narrated myths, legends and folktales. Create and submit your own or delve deeper to find out origins and context. Reviewed by Kelly Tenkley Jan 16, 2009 post to iLearn Technology.
Students can create a virtual museum box in which to collect items such as text, photos, video, and uploaded items needed to make an argument, describe a person or historical/geographical site etc. Students can also view other museum boxes and comment. For classroom use ideas, see Kelly Tenkley's Jan 06, 2009 post at iLearn Technology. This website was inspired by Thomas Clarkson who carried around a real museum box of artifacts to make a case for the abolition of slavery. Each compartment is actually a cube that expands into 6 more "sides" for storing information. Very cool.
This blog gives some ideas for using Vokis in education and explains how to embed them in websites.

This is a version of Glogster designed especially for educational use. Great, because this removes one of the reservations teachers might have about letting students use Glogster because students might run across innapropriate content. Glogster.com - Poster yourself - Make your interactive poster easily and share it with friends. It is fantastic!
Poster site reviewed by Paul Hamilton Nov 2008. Upload your own photo or use one of theirs, add a title, and save your creation to Flickr or your computer. Very nice, simple site and easy to use. I was able to tab around on this site to select a picture, add a title and text, preview and save so I believe it is accessible.
This is a gallery of mindmaps created with a particular software. Great examples of the diversity of ways information can be represented.
Glogster.com - Poster yourself - Make your interactive poster easily and share it with friends. It is fantastic! Posters can include photos, video, text, and audio. This would be fun for kids, and there are lots of educational glogs posted, but the chances of coming across some inappropriate content would be high. Click on the small edu link at the bottom of the page to go to the educational version of the website which looks like a safer place for kids to work.
