Students and educators can use this site to find and download free, high-quality photos. All pictures have an "Attribution Along" CC license, which means students and educators may download, use, and/or modify pictures any way they want as long as they give credit as to where they got the picture. Additionally, it is required that they must link back to FreePhotoBank if the pictures are used for a website. A link must be on each page that contains pictures from FreePhotoBank. This is a great resource for teacher- and student-made web pages, slideshows, reports, presentations, lesson-related images, projects, etc.

This would be great for students and educators to use as a resource for political videos, photos, podcasts, etc. and current world events.

It features material not only related to the White House and President Obama, but all parts of the US government. It also has material from other parts of the world, including news footage and photos. This would be especially useful to help kids learn about what is going on in the world and about current events that they might otherwise not know about. For students who have little to no background knowledge of what life is like in other countries, the photos and videos would help to build their knowledge by providing them with visual examples.

This link will take you to a page that describes different kinds of CC licenses under which photos and images are listed. Students and educators can use this site to search for photos and images that are free for them to use. They can search for content under each type of license or a specific license. They can also do an advanced search to find content under the licenses which they delineate. This is a great resource for students to use when searching for photos and images to include in projects and presentations. The images can be used digitally, or they can be downloaded and printed out. Depending on the type of CC license an image has, students could add text to it, crop it, overlay another image on it, and do all sorts of image editing. This provides students who feel they are not the best drawers/artists another option in which to create original work.
