First, I created a new wikiweb, then invited friends. They could not not join since they had no user ID registered with Wetpaint. I read that the friend had to create a membership by using Sign Up (actually Sign In) So I entered an ID and password and was directed to register. I clicked on "register" and got a registration screen. I created a virtual member, "earthenergyworld" for my new wetpaint site, http://earthenergyworld.wetpaint.com. I entered the new password twice, submitted and got this error message:
"The member profile for does not exist on this site. Please check the username and try again or go to the site members report and try locating the member there." the URL: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/account/
Please explain how I can register my virtual member for the first time, when the system rejects all attempts to register new members because the new member has not already registered? Also, why use this really dumb route to register new members. Please create a button "REGISTER AS A NEW MEMBER" or some such label on your homepage. Then please allow the new member to register without getting the really dumb message that no such registration already exists.
