A reading site, initiated by the Screen Actors Guild. Well-known actors read books online. Students see the words on-screen as they hear the actor's voice. Images from the book appear on-screen. Teacher guides are available. I don't think it replaces a teacher reading aloud -- the pictures on-screen overwhelm the student's imagination I think.
Fun with words. Provides a word-web of words. Provides the same function as a useful pencil-and-paper literacy exercise for students. Could be used after the exercise for the students to compare their word-webs with the Internet/computerized version.
