This article is about how twitter is a big part of college football. It talks about star quarterback Matt Barkley and what he puts on twitter and the reason why he likes twitter because it keeps him posted in sports news and media and builds a fan base for himself and USC. It also talks about how athletes have to watch out what they say on twitter because they are still under NCAA rule and people are watching their every move. NFL scouts also look at the college athletes tweets to see what kind of maturity that they have. More and more college football programs are educating their athletes about the social media.

Reason why I picked this article because it was a relevant story about former Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni who resigned from the head coaching job because of pressure of the fans of New York. They also said him and Knicks Star Carmelo Anthony weren't getting along either. Since being part of the biggest sports media in the U.S which is New York City it's hard being a coach because if you aren't winning no one is satisfied. People expected the Knicks to be a great team this year with all of the talent they have but so far under his coaching they have been overrated.

I like this article because it had something to do with how an athlete should carry themselves off the field. They should reflect good character and act as role models for the younger people of today. Some these athletes think they can do whatever they want because they are athletes but that just lead them to getting in trouble. These athletes should realize that they have god given abilities and they should take advantage of that instead of wasting it. People shouldn't view people who have millions of dollars as role models just because they have that kind of money. Some these athletes need to change their values and go back to what their parents taught them.

This article explains what kind of athlete would be worthy to talk to or interview. They like athletes who are humorous, interactive, all about the team kind of person. They don't like the cocky, self-centered people. This could be used as a good example for how athlete's act well doing interviews

This article talks about when the teams and athletes can take interview and have press conference during the BCS bowl games. There are certain rules the media and the teams have to agree with when it comes to when they can meet. Certain players are selected to speak with the media. If the coaches don't want the media and cameras at their practices they can call for a closed practice.

This article talks about Brady Hoke, the Michigan head football coach was not to happy with the NCAA because they are being charged with a violation that a Michigan player tweeted to a 2013 recruit after their bowl game. Hoke thinks it stupid that the NCAA is that strict but he said they just need to educate their players so they don't make mistakes. Couple other schools like Tennessee and North Carolina are also facing charges because of the media.

This article just really explains why athletes have twitter accounts. It's really short article and probably won't use much of the information in this article. Really athletes use it because it quick and easy and it helps them build a fan base.

This article talks about what interesting things athletes say on twitter. It's like every time they have something to say there's a story behind it. What athletes fail to realize is whatever they say anyone who has internet connection can see it. One example is Antonio Cromartie talking about bashing Matt Hasselback's face in because of the players association. At one point they were thinking about banning NFL players from using twitter. What people fail to realize is a lot of athletes use Social networks for good.

This article explains how athletes interact with the public or the people on social network sites. Some athletes like Udonis Haslem uses twitter to keep the people and fans of the Miami Heat informed on what's going on with the team. Problem that a lot of athletes have is have fans speak negative about them because a lot of athletes first reaction would be to talk back at the fan, but what they should do is not respond at all.

This article has a lot to deal with sports psychology and how negative things can affect an athlete's performance on the field. Media can create a lot of stress, change your mood, and add a lot of anxiety to an athlete's life. Athletes have a lot of pressure on their plates and only the mentally strong survive. For one example Ricky Williams who was one of the great running backs at the time failed a drug and the media and the people got all of him for that so he quit and didn't return to the NFL until 3 years later.
