Although I know many like this site for the videos and songs you can find, my problem with the site is that I have a difficult time finding stuff. I do not like the way the site is organized. If I spend a great deal of time looking I can eventually find what I need.

      • I looked up a song on the water cycle and while the song played a commercial played in the background. I suppose that is one downfall to this free site.

Like other teachers I use youtube in my classroom. However, I am not fond of the setup of the site itself. I must sift through lots of video to find what I need. Many times the commercials on the side that pop up are completely inappropriate for the classroom. Many times I have had to race to shut off the projector when something is posted on the side that is inappropriate.

      • This is a great example of a site that I hate to love. Too much in the way of commercials and junk on it. However, the open access is what allows you to find some really great resources for your class.

Put together by a fellow teacher to be helpful to others. When I first go to this site I am overwhelmed by the dancing graphics. In her quest to be interesting it became distracting. The links are not easily situated and I cannot see them due to the bouncing books.

      • Watch out for the bouncing books. You have to do alot of scrolling to find the links.

This site allows teachers to design rubrics and change one that are already made. I find it difficult to navigate and once the rubric is created the format is not easily changed. In addition, there are too many popups and commercials.

      • You can create a log in to create your own rubrics. However, the format cannot be changed easily. The amount of scrolling required is immense.

Resources for teachers, students, and parents on giving to others. It provides links to many resources. However, it is difficult to navigate and the colors make the pages hard to read at times. I have a hard time finding what I need.

      • You can browse for lesson plans, but the browse engine is very complicated and separated by grade.
