The comments by Graham Attwell from Pontydsgu in regards to eLearning gave food for thought.
Do not try to replicate your standard classroom in the virtual world try to think our of the box. -
I agree with you, Monica. Developers (including educators) in Second Life would be wise to follow his advice. The virtual world has so much potential, but I'm afraid it is limited by our tendency to, as Marshall McLuhan poetically put it, "see the future through a rear view mirror and march backwards into the future."

Definitely agree with Graham Attwell's view that there is huge potential in learning by utilising technology, however, we need to avoid the temptation of simply using our current content and behaviours and trying to replicate that electronically.
