  • Math Playground

    Math Playground is an excellent website to enhance math skills while having fun. It is unique in that it has games, flashcards, and manipulative games for students who do not have access to these resources at home. There are also numerous games and activities for grades 1-7 that will help students sharpen their skills with word problems.

  • IXL Math

    IXL makes math practice fun. It contains unlimited math questions in more than 1,000 topics for grades K-6. IXL will track a student’s score as they go through the different topics and will increase in difficulty as they improve. IXL topics are aligned with state standards and the teacher is able to track student performance. Teacher and students must create an account to use IXL. This website is great for students to use at home to practice math skills.

    The Starfall website focuses on phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and reading comprehension. This website is primarily used by grades K-2 as a fun activity during computer lab time or centers to enhance the literacy program objectives.

  • Welcome to Seussville

    A fun interactive website for all things Dr. Seuss. Seussville has the full biography of Dr. Seuss, a playground with games and printable activities which includes a “storymaker”, a store for purchase of books and educational materials, events, and much more. This website is a fun resource to use in grades K-2 to enhance literary activities and is usually reserved for Dr. Seuss’s birthday or Read Across America Day.

  • FOSSweb!

    Fossweb is the official site for the inquiry based FOSS science curriculum. It contains interactive modules based on the different units of study for grades K-6 as well as middle school. I would use this website as a fun resource to supplement science objectives.

    Kids.gov is the official kid’s portal for the US government. This website has hundreds of links to government, career, social studies, math, and even fitness sites all geared towards kids. I would use this site as a fun resource to supplement classroom objectives, specifically in social studies.

  • Discovery Education

    The Discovery Education website provides engaging digital resources to schools and homes with the goal of making teachers more effective, increasing student achievement, and connecting classrooms and homes to a world of learning. It contains lesson plans, activities, videos, and much more in all the subjects- Grades K-8. I would use this often in my classroom to enhance classroom lessons and activities, specifically in science and social studies.
