This gateway is appropriate for both middle school and high school students. Gateway contains a solar system simulator. A kids astronomy site give a few facts about the planet and a picture. Sponsors are listed to the right side of the gateway. One link is from Wikipedia but many of the sites come from credible sources like government and educational institutions.
This gateway provides interactive and factual sites to the planets. Scientific facts are includes on the sites. This gateway is appropriate for high school students. Each component of the solar system has 10 to 44 links associated with it. This gateway has a wealth of detail for research. Sites come from reputable sources including the Smithsonian. One site, Nova Celestia states that it has free images for use. Information is up to date. Gateway does not contain advertisements.
This gateway provides a thorough guide to the solar system and all the planets. The gateway has general information and also extensive detail. Authentic photographs of different parts of solar system are available. Spacecraft is also listed on the gateway. Material is appropriate for middle school and high school students. Advertisements and sponsored links are listed in the middle of the gateway. I was not able to locate information about authors of information. It does state images are from NASA. After clicking on link, students can click on subtopics to get more information about the components of the solar system (i.e. moon, planets).

This gateway is appropriate for 10th grade and higher. Provides extensive content on many facets of the solar system including some of these: comets, meters, solar systems, and celestial sphere. This gateway provides a great deal of technical data.
This includes sites with useful and informational about the planets. The sites contain graphics to help students visualize the solar system. The gateway provides some links to interactive sites. The sites are appropriate for 7th grade levels and higher. Links provide extensive detail including size of each planet. The sites provide current information. Sites come from reputable sources including government sites and educational institutions. A NASA site includes information both teachers and students.
