Tip - ensure that the web address ends timespace/world to see world wide events.

Tip, record narrations using audacity and then upload. This saves time and causes less disruptions.
Okay so this not a true Web 2.0 tool buuuut, how often do your students struggle to comprehend a website that is beyond their reading level?

Want to create a quick easy podcast, or have your kids podcast their writing, reflections, thoughts and ideas? This is a user friendly podcasting tool primarily for students.
Create your user id, then work through the three authentication steps and you are firing.
Need to create a quick presentation for your students? Sure would help if I could add narration. Hmm google presentations doesn't quite let me. Enter flowgram, combines photos, presentations, webpages with your voice.

Seriously this is an incredible tool. This is a link to the How to's. Go to Diigo.com, and sign up, then apply for the educators upgrade. You can create lists and share them with your students. Leave annotations, highlights and have students add comments to a page.
I cannot say enough about this tool, absolutely exceptional.
It takes a little getting used to. Then if you are anything like me you want to go back and redo all of your previous 'tags' key words that identify the content.
Online interactive, customizable work sheets, templates, games. Able to embed to a blog, web page, download to your local machine. You can make your own diagrams and then share the url with you students
How to use this tool to enable and empower learners ?
Check out the templates and see if there is one that suits your students needs. Create the template. Or demonstrate to students how to select the template and save. Then have them complete their own template, save and then send the URL to you. Use a shared document to contain the instructions and links. Actually have students paste the links in the document so that you can access them directly
Tips & Tricks
Allow pops from this site. Click on the pop up bar and select allow.
Printing, can from a web page. Not great quality but okay. Alternative take a screen clip and save as a picture file. Another option is to print as a PDF, then save that document or print it. To control the print output.
Use widget icon to save the actually URL to return to it later.
It appears that you could have multiple simultaneous authors?
How to save it? Seems to save itself.

Create site for generating story ideas, characters in particular. Using visuals helps to generate detail in students writing.
Go on you want to? Create a character for a realistic fiction piece of writing. Develop the character to help generate seed ideas.
