This website by BBC is great for kids 3-5th grade. I came across it when I was searching for research websites in the website database of S.O.S. Information Literacy. The strengths of this website is that it is interactive. Students can learn about the parts of the plant with digital manipulatives- the student can move parts of the plant around. Anohter great feature is learning the information by trial and error. I used this resources with third graders and the enjoyed it and learned a lot about plants.

I love this website for kids. It is maintained by PBS. This website has a great selection of living scientists discussing their scientific methods. The strength of this sight is that there are mini- videos (about three minutes) they are geared towards students. There is labeled information within the videos so students in 4th and 5th grade can easily follow along. The videos capture the attention of the students

Kiss the Fish is a great music-poetry album for kids. Whimisical, silly and just plain fun. Bill visited our school and is a great performer. He commands exciting audience participation

Great songs that both the parents and children love. One of my favorites is about recycling so kids are getting an environmental message early. The songs are simple with Jackson's signature guitar style

This is a great reader advisory for parents, teachers, and librarians to get boys excited about reading. Even the layout of the website targets the interests of boys.

I like this website as a reading advisory by grade level favorites. I frequently look at some of the suggestions here when I am trying to find books for students.

This is a great movie for children. It is engaging and witty. I have loved it as an adult. One reason is that I had a border collie dog. The message about being yourself and following your talents is an important message. I would suggest that kids read the book then watch the film.
