The Paranoid Pale Ale from Mammoth Brewing Company in Mammoth Lakes, CA pours out a warm, golden amber with good clarity and a fluffy, dense white head that hangs around for a while. Citrus hops and biscuity malts on the nose. Quite tart in the mouth with lemon flavors intertwined with pine, malt and slight sweetness.

The Vina Cono Sur Pinot Noir Vision was another Whole Foods purchase for $14.99. This Pinot Noir pours out a lovely, clear red with nice clarity. On the nose strawberry, cherry, earth and a little pinot funk come through. In the mouth flavors of tart cherry and raspberry are redolent with hints of oak.
