Personal Learning Networks (PLNs) are all about using web tools such as blogs, wiki, twitter, facebook to create connects with others which extend our learning, increases our reflection while enabling us to learn together as part of a global community. PLNs increase our opportunities to ask questions and receive help compared to our normal daily face-to-face interactions.
Game for PLN exploration
I really loved how Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach in her Hale School Workshop broke the participants into four groups and got them to move around the room answering the four questions on butcher’s paper. Would be a great way for them to physically feel a personal learning network in action.
Trouble is I’m struggling for ideas for the questions. Sheryl’s were:
- How has world changed?
- How have students changed?
- What should we doing to instill curiosity & creativity?
- What will Classroom 2.0 look like?
Any thoughts on what questions I could use? Or can you suggest any different activities?
Very interesting article regarding our need as educators to teach students how to build their own PLNs. Teachers need to lead by example. He gives quick tips in the end on how to establish a PLN.

This Directory lists in alphabetical order (by Twitter username) learning professionals from both education and corporate training, as well as other related professionals and e-learning products and services on Twitter.
Great idea for using Wordle in a presentation live, gathering feedback from people in the room to create the content.
