Online Tools and Calculators
The living wage calculator is an online tool used to estimate the cost of living in a community or region of the United States. The calculator lists typical expenses, the living wage and typical wages for the selected location. In many instances, the results confirm that many American families who work in low-wage jobs make insufficient income to live above the poverty line.
This calculator is used to compare consumer purchasing power over time. You can type in a value and compare the price to another year. This allows you to evaluate how general price levels have changed over time and draw conclusions about the health of our economy.
