How to listen to a podcast - Homebrewing - Beer Advocate

You can subscribe if you want to (using a program like iTunes - usually it's
free), and as has been mentioned, it's fairly easy to do, but you don't have to.
Most podcasts have links on their website to download the podcast or listen to
them streaming. For example:
Basic Brewing Radio ( http://www.basicbrewing.com/index.
... age=radio) has a link on the right hand side under "Our Podcasts",
click the streaming mp3 link under "Basic Brewing Radio"
The Jamil Show
( http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/jamil.php)
you can just click the title of the show you want to listen to.
Craft
Brewer Radio ( http://radio.craftbrewer.org/)
has a link to the mp3 of the show directly under the episode
description.
As long as you have a program like Windows Media Player or
Quick Time (most computers do) it should be pretty straightforward from
there.

Carolus D'Or - Cuvée Van De Keizer Clone? - Homebrewing - Beer Advocate

Somebody on a Dutch forum has taken a picture of the maltbill of the Cuvee van
de Keizer at the brewery 't Anker. It mentions 5 malts, but only 4 numbers
written down behind it. It is very unclear with what malt these numbers
correspond.
The
malts:
pilsmalt
corn
cara50
cara150
wheatmalt
the
numbers:
2800
200
500
200
My guess is that there is no
wheatmalt in the beer, so the 4 numbers fit to the first 4 malts.
The
same guy that took the tour also mentions 'speculaas' spices, I don't know if
this rings a bell, but it is a mixture of spices, usually containing (all
powdered)cinnamon, clove, ginger, kardemom and sometimes white pepper and
nutmeg. The first two form the biggest part of the mix.
Also don't forget
that cumin is in most of the Anker's beers, so that is also very well possible.
The yeast can probably be cultured from a bottle. Never tried it.
