Wallwisher can be used to post messages to someone or several people, but it can also be used for educational purposes. The page works like a set of sticky notes. In this page, Nik Peachey has asked teachers to collect resources or links to good Web 2.0 tools. It will take some time to go through them all. The disadvantage is that there is no inherent organizational method. New messages pop up wherever, sometimes even over other messages. But it might be great fun to have a class of students or student-teachers try it out and collect resources for you. For example, you could have students look for good Grammar sites on the Web, then have them explore each other's and write "comments" in another Wall wisher post. Another problem is that you can put in a link to an image or video, but it may be hard to get in a URL too (very limited number of letters allowed). So it's hard to use like blog or wiki.

This site is a huge collection of inter-related blogs, videos of collaborative student projects, likes to wikis, Twitter and Skype pals, etc., etc.--open the box and start devouring the candy! Based on Tom Friedman's concept, "the world is flat," this is the place to find help with teaching, display your students' work, discuss issues and projects, et al.

Video clips are sorted by level (primary or secondary) and subject, and include Chinese and some European languages, as well as science, maths, biology, etc. Clips can are all very short and can be sorted additionally by topics. Could be useful for content-based learning as well as language study.
Many art museum websites offer users the ability to choose favorites from their online exhibitions and create an online exhibition. The best also let you write captions and describe these individualized collections, and then allow you to post the link on a website or blog.
This kind of activity provides lots of language-development opportunities for all levels of English Language Learners. so I thought it would be a good topic for a “The Best…” list.

Might have interest as a brain teaser or mind puzzle, esp. for students with some knowledge of the Tokyo train system. Or students, say, in NYC might want to create a similar statistical analogy.
