Job Description: Spectrum Health Neuro Rehabilitation Services – Grand Rapids

Spectrum Health Neuro Rehabilitation Services provides compassionate medical support at home to children and adults recovering from a serious injury or illness. Complex medical and rehabilitative needs are met by highly skilled specialists up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Spectrum Health Neuro Rehabilitation Services develops customized programs, provides safety guidance, and provides ongoing supervision for people with traumatic brain injury, stroke, or other neurological conditions; spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries; ventilator dependency; and medically complex conditions or other injuries.

Schedule: Based on shift or visit availability.

Location: Spectrum Health Neuro Rehabilitation Services has a 60-mile radius from Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, or Lansing.

Job Summary: Perform basic client care needs and related complex care services (as needed) essential to caring for the client personal and comfort needs, including, but not limited to the clients activities of daily living and restorative nursing measures. Some clients require complex care. Training is available to meet these needs. Shift and visit work is available in client's home, skilled nursing facility and residential home setting.

Job Requirements: Current CNA certificate. Must have a minimum of six months experience. Experience with caring for clients with brain injury, spinal cord injury, quadriplegia or paraplegia is desired. Current CPR certification or ability to get within 30 days of hire. Must be able to travel within a 60-mile radius. Must have a valid driver license, current automobile insurance, reliable transportation, and two or less moving violations on driver record.
