This book has been helpful in giving me a framework for how to both document and execute my lamp design. The book shows final projects, but emphasizes the steps followed by the designers for the creation of these objects.

I like the simplicity of this fixture. It helps me to imagine how experimenting with found objects. particularly stackable objects like cups or bowls, could be helpful in the design of my lamp.

This beautiful lamp is a Flatpack design by Tom Dixon. I enjoy this article because it shows the complexity involved in assembling this luminaire. I feel that this level of assembly is a little too involved for a design that is to be constructed by the consumer.

The bloom lamp is a flatpack lamp that exhibits some beautiful qualities of light. I enjoy this design because it has a sense of motion to it that I feel is somewhat rare in flatpack products.

This book has some beautiful lamp designs, including a Kinetic Lamp by Hanabi that uses shape memory to expand when heated.

UnFolded: Paper in Design, Art, Architecture and Industry, Petra Schmidt and Nicola Stattmann, Birkhauser.
I am interested in the lamp design by Inga Sempe, pages 144-5. It is a simple, and easily flatpackable object.Unrelated to my project, but incredible- the "Your House" Project by Olafur Eliasson is genius. I would love to do something like this for a studio project.

A simple system of overlapping pieces of wood veneer that becomes an organic and structural use of a common material. Elegant.
