This blog lists several different schools that use Edmodo. It gives a brief description and a link to the specific school.
An interesting paper about how social media can be used to improve learning.
Mrs. White shares her classroom adventurers with fellow teachers and parents. I feel blogs can be a good way to share what is going on in the classroom. Blogs are starting to replace the old fashioned newsletter. :)
A website that shares Class Blogs from around the world.
The "Flat" classroom idea interests me. Its target age group is older than I teach. But, I enjoyed reading about it. I see the name Vicky Davis quite often while researching Web 2.0 and technology integration.
An interesting article about how schools are incorporating Social Networking. It is true, social network is not going away, so instead of disciplining students for accessing it at school, find a way to use it to learn.
This project targets low income students and increases their math skills by using smart phones.
This is all over the #5thchat and #6thchat on Twitter. Teachers work together to set up meetings between two classrooms via Skype. The location is a mystery. Students ask a series of yes and no questions to try and identify the mystery location.
This teacher uses Twitter to update her elementary students' parents on events and activities that are happening in the classroom.
This teacher also uses Twitter to communicate with parents. The great thing is that each Tweet is usually composed by one of the students. Did I mention they are in the first and second grade?
A guide how to use and manage a classroom Twitter account in the K-8 grade. It makes me curious to know how many parents in my class "tweet". I think I need to send out a technology survey.
A school librarian that incorporates technology. This blog post is about having students participate in a Mystery Skype. What a great way to learn questioning skills, map skills and communication skills!
I really enjoy the posts on this blog. What I liked most about how Ms. Schoening used Facebook was in regards to celebrating student work. I feel it is very important to share the great things that our students are doing. I feel that celebration is sometimes overlooked as we manage our busy day.
Idaho teachers use and learn about Edmodo. I am excited to get this started!
