Know what to avoid in bullmastiff training

A bullmastiff at home can either be a pleasant experience or a nasty one depending on the training of the dog. When you first bring the dog home you primarily need to understand that it requires a lot of attention from your side and you need to spend time with the dog so that it is well adjusted to the environment at home.

You will also need to make you rules of the house clear to it in the initial days itself. Let’s say you can’t take your bullmastiff getting onto the bed then don’t allow it from day one. If you are allowing it for one day restricting it on another, then there is very less chance that it will listen to you. All this is what you accomplish in bullmastiff training.

In the first few days of the dog at home, it is recommended, that it should not be left alone at home. In such cases we run the risk of the dog turning hostile and destructive. Once this characteristic is established in the dog it would become very difficult for us to get rid of it. So in the initial days itself a lot of care has to go into bullmastiff training.
