Google Books
"no preview" means no text is provided, but the bibliographic info is listed
"snippet" means that 4 or 5 lines are displayed at a time
"limited preview" may show full table of contents, click chapter title to see a few papers of that chapter
"full view" provides the complete book, view on screen or download. These books are either copyright free or out of copyright, that is, more than 70 years old.
Try a search for a key word to see if this book has enough material on your topic. (Must be "limited preview" or "full view" for this to work.)
Remember that just because the book is available in Google Books does not guarantee that it's high quality.
If you find the book is worthwhile, check to see if it is available at your library.
Even if it isn't in your library's collection, they may be able to borrow it from a different library. Then you can check it out.
Note: Google Books (except "full view") doesn't allow cut and paste, but you can take notes.
