Manila, June 17, 2001 - (STAR) Abu Sayyaf Group head Ghalib "Commander Robot" Andang, who has been sidelined for almost a month now by ASG mouthpiece Abu Sabaya with the latter's numerous interviews over Radio Mindanao Network, is poised to retake the limelight from his criminal colleague tomorrow when he is expected to surrender formally to the President.

Observers said Andang might surrender to the President herself as she is expected to visit Mindanao tomorrow.

In the meantime, Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis Singson said he would not accept the P5 million reward guaranteed him by the government if he successfully wraps up Andang's surrender. Singson said he just wanted to help resolve the hostage crisis.
