December 15, 2002, The Philippine Star, Sayyaf member arrested in Zamboanga, by Jaime Laude, 

Military and police agents arrested Friday a suspect bomb-maker of the Abu Sayyaf group, in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte, reports reaching Camp Aguinaldo said yesterday. 

Nabbed was Abdul Roman Conding, who is said to be a key Abu Sayyaf member responsible for the manufacture of homemade explosives used in the recent spate of bombings in Zamboanga City. 

Elements of the Army's 44th Infantry Battalion and the Philippine National Police (PNP) 903rd Provincial Mobile Group (PMG) cornered Conding in his hiding place in Siocon town Friday afternoon. 

Conding is currently undergoing tactical interrogation by military and police agents in Zamboanga. —Jaime Laude
